Long term construction work will take place on following routes including weekdays and weekends.

1. Between Court Sq and Church Av closed. Church Av station is open.

2. Between Queens Plaza and 42nd St-PABT along 53rd St tunnel. Closed. Switch east of Queens Plaza/Queensbridge Stations are unaffected.

3. Between Queens Plaza and 57th St-7th Av along 59th St tunnel. Closed. Queensboro Plaza is unaffected.

Affected: (E)(F)(G)(M)(N)(Q)(R) train.

(E) No service in Manhattan. Runs on QBL Local from Queens Plaza to Jamaica Center. Select rush hour (C) trains turn at WTC.

(F) Runs in two sections. From 179 to 2nd Av via QBL Express. From Coney Island to Church Av.

(G) Suspended.

(M) Runs as Myrtle Av shuttle only.

(N) Runs in two sections. From Astoria to QBP. From 57th to Coney Island via Broadway Local.

(Q) From 57th to Coney Island via Broadway Express.

(R) No service in Manhattan or Queens. Runs from Bay Ridge to 36th St Brooklyn.

This assumes by the time this came up, the Montague tunnel would be back in service:

(D) runs regular route and then through Coney Island via Culver to Church Avenue

 

(F) runs 179th Street, Queens-Euclid Avenue, Brooklyn (regular route to Jay Street) at all times (local in Brooklyn) and is extended overnights to Lefferts Boulevard to replace the overnight shuttle.  Rush hours, select (F) trains run via the (C) between West 4th and Jay Street.

 

(J) is re-routed at all times via the (M) and then (C) from West 4th-168th Street to replace the (C) and (E) in Manhattan.

 

(M) runs all times between Metropolitan Avenue and Jamaica Center (replacing the (E) in Queens).

 

(N) runs in two sections: Ditmars Boulevard-Queensboro Plaza

57th Street-Coney Island

 

(Q) runs .57th Street-Coney Island ONLY.

 

(R) becomes brown and runs Essex Street, Manhattan-95th Street, Brooklyn (replacing the (J) in lower Manhattan) at ALL TIMES.

Lord have mercy he's never gonna let that die. If the (C) can't go to B'way/ENY, then let the (J) go to 168? Really? If we're making up crazy sh*t, why not send the (J) up to Bedford Park Blvd and reroute the (D) to Jamaica Center?  <_<  <_<

The idea is this incarnation of the (J) is really the (C) north of West 4th and would use the (C) 's equipment and its own for this.  The (M) obviously is via 63rd and the (F) to 36th Street, but does run at all times and in a change from what I wrote runs local to 71st-Continental.

 

In a change from what I originally wrote, the (E) is NOT suspended, but only runs between Queens Plaza and Jamaica Center and is local Queens Plaza-Roosevelt Avenue before going express after that.

 

Also obviously on my (J) reroute, I meant Essex-168th, NOT West 4th-168th.

Lol at bold part. You sad the KK was discontinued so you have to make a super route now. The wonders...

 

At this point, what's next, the (Q) to Jamaica Center, the (R) to 168 (no wait, you did that in a way) , or the (D) to Metropolitan? Seriously what's up! Half the riders will bombard the (B) because they don't know where this super route (J) is going. Or they will just take the (A) .

Hmm lets see. The (E) will run to Euclid Avenue, the (C) is suspended. The (J) will go to 168 street, and then the (F) will run via cranberry at this time, lets also send the (A) to court square and the (G) to the Rockaways via backtracking.....

Next: Due to a structural issue 6th Ave Line no trains can run from 34th Street to Rock Center and Bway-Latyette to W4. The repairs will last about a month.

(A): Service runs local north of 145th St during Rush Hours.

(B): Service suspended.

(C): During Rush Hours, service rerouted over to (B) line to/from Bedford Park Blvd.

(D): Trains run in 2 sections.

1. Between 205th St and World Trade Center (E) via express.

2. Between 34th St-Herald Sq and Coney Island-Stillwell Av.

(F): Trains run on (E) between Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Av and West 4th St.

(M): Trains run only between Metropolitan Av-Middle Village and 34th St-Herald Sq.

(Q): During middays and weekends, (Q) trains will be rerouted over to (F) to 21st St-Queensbridge, so Roosevelt Island Station will be continuesly opened.

Free shuttle buses will be provided along 6th-5th Avs between 34th St and 47th-50th Sts. Free boarding on M1, M2, M3, M4, M5, M7 buses will be provided along key stations stops at 34th, 42nd, 49th-50th Sts Stations.

This is assuming 8 Ave is not affected south of W4th.

(B) Suspended.

(D) Runs in Two Sections:

1. From 205th to 144th. Select rush hour trains run express.

2. From Broadway-Lafayette to Coney Island.

(F) Runs via the (E) from Jackson Heights to Queens Plaza then to Court Square on the (G) then to Coney Island. Select rush hour trains run to/from 57th St.

(M) Myrtle Ave Shuttle.

(Q) Select rush hour trains make express stops on Brighton Line.

Assuming 8th Avenue is unaffected and the Montauge Tunnel and (G) tunnel is in operation:

 

(A) runs express at all times EXCEPT between 145th-168th Street, where it is LOCAL at all times.

 

(B) is suspended.

 

(C) runs at all times and is re-routed north of 145th Street to replace the (B) and (D) in the Bronx to 205th Street. (C) is also extended overnights to Lefferts Boulevard and replaces the (A) shuttle at those times.

 

(D) runs Coney Island-Whitehall Street (R) station in Manhattan ONLY (via regular route to Pacific Street then via the (R) ).

 

(E) runs express as warranted in Manhattan.

 

(F) runs all times via the (A) and (C) between West 4th and Jay Street.  Special (F) shuttle trains operate as follows:

 

Between Jay Street, Brooklyn and Delancey Street, Mahattan

 

Single track between Delancey Street and 2nd Avenue, Manhattan AND between 2nd Avenue and Broadway-Lafayette Streets in Manhattan.

 

Rush hours, select (F) trains operate via the (G) between Roosevelt, Queens and Bergen Street, Brooklyn.

When capacity is not an issue, select (F) trains operate between Delancey Street, Manhattan and Coney Island, Brooklyn.

 

Single-track shuttles run on all 6th Avenue line tracks between West 4th and 34th Street-Herald Square in Rush Hours, on local tracks other times.

(M) operates on its old route to Broad or Chambers Street.

 

(Q) is re-routed at all times to 71st-Continental to replace the (M) in Queens (starting with 36th Street) and via 63rd Street to serve Queensbridge Plaza and Roosevelt Island at all times.

This is what I get for rushing.  To correct:

(F) runs all times via the (A) and (C) between West 4th and Jay Street.  Special (F) shuttle trains operate as follows:

 

Between Jay Street, Brooklyn and Delancey Street, Mahattan

 

Single track between Delancey Street and 2nd Avenue, Manhattan AND between 2nd Avenue and Broadway-Lafayette Streets in Manhattan.

 

Rush hours, select (F) trains operate via the (G) between Roosevelt, Queens and Bergen Street, Brooklyn.

When capacity is not an issue, select (F) trains operate between Delancey Street, Manhattan and Coney Island, Brooklyn.

That should have read:

(F) via the (E) to West 4th and THEN via the (C) and (A) between West 4th and Jay Street.

Everything else in my previous post remains as is.

Next: A broken Water Pipe Floods Times Square , Affecting The (1)(2)(3)(7)(N)(Q)(R) and (S) Trains. Repairs will take about two Months.

(1)(3)(N) and (Q) trains will bypass Times Square 42nd Street. (R) trains will run via the (F) between 36th Street, Queens and 47th-50th Streets Rockefeller Center and via the (D) to DeKalb Ave. (2) trains will run via the (5) between 149th Street Grand Concourse to Nevins Street. There would be no shuttle trains and (7) trains will run between Grand Central 42nd Street and Main Street Flushing. If the trains can't have ANY access to Times Square then (1) trains wil run between Van Cortlandt Park 242nd Street to 96th Street and between 34th Street Penn Station to South Ferry. (3) trains will run between Harlem 148th Street to 96th Street and between 34th Street Penn Station to New Lots Avenue. Shuttle Buses will run between 96th Street and 34th Street Penn Station. (N) trains will run between Astoria Ditmars Blvd to Queensboro Plaza and between 34th Street Herald Square to Coney Island Stillwell Avenue. (Q) trains will run between 34th Street Herald Square to Coney Island Stillwell Avenue. Shuttle buses will run between Lexington Avenue 59th Street to 34th Street Herald Square. Edited by R32sdabest

Here goes, assuming the Montague Street tunnel is out and the switches north of 34th Street can't be used:

Times Square-Grand Central Shuttle is suspended.

(1) operates in two sections:

242nd Street-96th Street

14th Street-South Ferry

Single track shuttles operate in both directions on the uptown tracks, express track 96th-72nd Street, local track 96th-59th Street.

Single-track shuttles also operate between 14th Street and 34th Street-Penn Station in both directions on all tracks.

 

(2) runs via the Lexington Avenue line and replaces the (5) from 149th Street-Nevins Street.

 

(3) runs in two sections at all times:

148th Street-96th Street

14th Street-New Lots Avenue

 

Special shuttle buses operate from 14th Street-96th Street.

 

(5) moves to the 7th Avenue line and operates Dyre Avenue to 96th Street-Broadway ONLY (except late nights when it runs its regular route).

 

(7) operates to Grand Central ONLY.  Single track shuttle operates between Grand Central and 5th Avenue.

 

(B) operates as the full-time Brighton Local between 145th Street and Coney Island at all times (extended to Beford Park Boulevard rush hours).

 

(G) is extended weekdays to 71st-Continental to replace the (R) along Queens Boulevard at that time.

 

(M) runs seven days a week and replaces the (R) along Queens Boulevard weekends.

( (E) operates normal route late nights))

 

(N) runs in two sections:

Coney Island-Court Street (R) station in Brooklyn.

57th Street, Manhattan-Ditmars Boulevard, Queens

Special bridge shuttles operate LIMITED service in both directions between Pacific Street 14th Street on the Broadway Line with additional single track shuttles operating as follows in both directions:

 

On the uptown local track between 14th Street-Union Square and 34th Street.

On the downtown local track between 14th Street and City Hall

 

(Q) is suspended.

(R) runs Court Street-95th Street ONLY.

 

Supplemental shuttle buses operate between Whitehall Street and 96th Street-Broadway (in addition to those operating from 14th-96th Streets) to help cover the Broadway and 7th Avenue Lines.
