Generally, On the way to the subway I check for service changes so i can plan a route change. On the bus, the service change was "Due to police activity, Northbound trains are by bypassing 169th street." So, I'm like "alright." Arrive at 179th, people are saying no trains are running, go back up stairs, long lines for the Q43, 2 buses were filling up, one pulled off and the other was just about full. MTA employee walks by shouting "trains are running!", People run back downstairs and some hop off the bus. train sits in station for a while to make sure everyone that needs to, gets on because it may be the last train for a while.
