Lines: (A)(C)

130 or 140 depending on how you count it. I count 130.

13 (ten car) r211's plus 13 (ten car) r179's. That's 26 NTTs for the "A" train.

Correct?

I wonder how many r46's are still running on the "A" train (without counting the r46's that are still running on the C).

Also, is "A" train still borrowing r68's from the "B" during PM rush hour?

4060-4069 has notably been used for School Car recently. It is currently heading south towards the Rockaways at around 8PM.

The trainset could use a wash. One of the flip-up seats in 4069 seems to be sagging.

I remember riding 4060-4069 almost a year ago on its second day of service and it was clean.

4080-4084 went back to Pitkin from CI.

4150-4159 is currently burn-in testing heading to Far Rockaway at ENY as of 11:10PM. I've never witnessed burn-in testing occuring this late before.

A few seconds before this, 4170-4179 showed up going Local with blank signage on the South end of the train. It's been running like this all day.

As long as trains are in service, they will fix problems enroute. Or the motor person will check the problem during terminals and find out where minor problems are at. Once this train makes its last trip of the day and heads to the yard, the list of problems are directed to maintenance and they’ll take it from there.

The R211s, some, are getting new door text according to this video. It'll be more descriptive on where to exit at.

Hopefully this program is available on all R211’s, I’m not seeing any changes on other sets

Once they have a program that they like it'll be released to all the sets.  No sense in distributing a faulty program before it is ready.  I wonder how they distribute it.  Is it over wifi or does it need to be plugged in somewhere?  Is it automated, does the train just pick up the latest code when it is within range?  Is it pushed or does it need to be pulled?  It isn't any different than with your phone.  Lots of different ways to update.

If I'm not mistaken, today, the 10th marks 1-year to when the R211s debuted in passenger service. Also, on the outside is daylight savings.

Ooooooh, and the pilot is finally separated after a year!

I had 4170/79 on a southbound trip to Far Rockaway last night. Her electronics were a mess. North motor end sign wasn’t working, meanwhile that set’s other end sign on the conductors position was stuck on, so a northbound conductor had a big, bright LED A in their face.

south half has the “exit this side” message, north half did not have ether version, but both had the correct side doors light up as we entered the stations.

When all else fails, reboot.

How? The C runs completely below ground.

The NYPD needs to harshly penalize these teens (and their parents) who are involved in vandalism and/or subway surfing.

And for irresponsible parents to sue the MTA if something bad happens to their teen subway surfers.

These irresponsible parents should be held accountable for failing to supervise their teens.

Of course nothing will happen.... Why? Because the criminals vote.

Fantastic.

The MTA is pretty serious about at least getting a significant amount of new equipment in before the summer heat draws in.

Kawasaki is pushing the cars out, trying to catch up to the schedule they proposed for deliveries.

With close to 200 cars now in the system, there is still plenty of work to do.

I appreciate the hard work RTO does, the fans keeping track of delivery and train spotting.

You guys are the best.
