Where on the Queens Blvd line is there CBTC enabled?

All four tracks from Roosevelt to Queens Plaza and 21st street..

D3 and D4 tracks from Kew Gardens to 21street and Queens Plaza...

That leaves D1 and D2 track from CTL to Roosevelt as the Next In Line..

They've been doing a lot of "signal modernization" track closures between 59 St and Canal St, making the (A) run local in one direction and the (C)(E) express in the other.

Actually there hasn't been any 8th Avenue CBTC related work since November. They're supposed to resume 8th Avenue CBTC work soon.

So they still have to manually decide if the "Southbound" (F) or (E) goes into Continental first?

I went to Roosevelt yesterday with the local track closed and delayed R trains

Would CBTC help move trains along better though bottle necks if all trains had to merge on to the local/express track for whatever reason?

The local track going to 71st

Are they going to use CBTC to do relays when it's up and running?

Even though ATPM is in effect at Kew During the Hours the Echoes go express Foxes still have to Punch at 75th ave, its reversed later at night when the Echoes go local everybody punches at 75th

Makes it worse because trains have to be IDd and switches move even slower...

R160 (9923-9942) CBTC is active for revenue service

#9923-9927 / 9933-9937 will go out for active service

#9928-9932 / 9938-9942 on stand by

I thought they were already CBTC ready back in 2021, which was why when the 9800-9900 R160s went to Coney Island to swap out the Siemens ones, 9833-9852 went in place of 9923-9942, and then needed to be swapped back out when ready

Thales trains different operating systems so those five car sets was kept on the (G) until they got around to updating the software.
