Well, Kingsbridge has now joined in...

8359, 8395, 8545, 8556, 8563 (afaik) - OMNY Bases

There may be more 2015-16, 2019 LFS' from Kingsbridge with the bases

Before anyone asks, I'm not sure if the Next Gens from Kingsbridge have the bases

8688 has OMNY bases also so that answers the 2019 LFS portion of your inquiry.

When OMNY goes live on SBS buses, does that mean the end of proof of payment? No one is gonna want to pull up their bank account to show they paid.

Eventually, yes POP in its current form will end. OTOH I don’t think the MTA would be dumb enough to not have their Eagle teams or PD carry portable scanners to verify if people have paid their fare.

How would that work? Smartphones, contactless cards, smart watches. I've never seen that type of technology implemented in any transit agency that can check your proof of payment electronically like that on an open system (something that doesn't have its own app).

AFAIK London has that with Oyster/contactless (which OMNY is basically a derivative of)
