unclephil Posted June 29, 2009 Share #8 Posted June 29, 2009 Two questions come to mind. 1. Can this bus be operated in the rain with the drivers window open without the Operator getting drenched (you need the window open because of reduced visibilty due to the shatter resistant material the TA has installed on the drivers' window).2. What the hell is the spoiler for?

kawasaki3 Posted June 29, 2009 Share #15 Posted June 29, 2009 Why West Farms depot should recieve futureristic RTS. will West Farms depot are going to keep 1994 - 1995 orion5 #400 series forever. at least futuristic RTS will able to replace #400 series at West Farms depot. that what are you talking about Olymbus RTS if get purchase. i am less confused. There is no futuristic RTS...... If you mean the Designline Ecosaver IV Hybrids, the first 30 will go to MJQ, with another 30 probably going to either KB or WF if the test is successful. My bet is Kingsbridge.
kawasaki3 Posted June 29, 2009 Share #17 Posted June 29, 2009 1. . Micheal J. Quill depot recieving #3800 Orion7NG. but what would they to do 1999 Nova bus #5100 - #5200 series and where would they displaced their 1999 NOva bus and which depot will they send to it to. If they recieve new bus.

If they recieve new bus. Most likely MJQ will keep those RTSs, the TMCs are the ones being removed slowly. MJQ is getting 3800-3850, & losing some 8980s-8990s RTSs to West Farms, leaving a open hole of 40ft buses left.

Is the MTA feeling kinda "modern"? *laughs* A little too modern, that bus could pass off as a race car if it were the right size  I guess the aerodynamic-nesss could help it use less energy to pick up speed. I'm just wondering what's the spoiler for?
