67thAve Posted January 28, 2010 Share #1 Posted January 28, 2010 My personal favorite is the between Jackson Heigts-Roosevelt Ave. to Queens Plaza . When the operated R32's, it felt like the rivets would fall out of place.
KTrainExp Posted January 28, 2010 Share #2 Posted January 28, 2010 6th Avenue between 34th and West 4th street going downtown with SMEEs win hands down. The R68s also get to shine there.
Joe Posted January 28, 2010 Share #3 Posted January 28, 2010 I particularly enjoy the noise one hears when traveling on the northbound express around Woodhaven Blvd.

R62A 1991 Posted January 28, 2010 Share #5 Posted January 28, 2010 Since this is supposed to be "Best Express Runs," I'm sure there are much better express runs than the one I put, but: The West Side IRT from Times Square to 72nd St: northbound more so because of no timers, but in both directions, before the realignment and new tracks, it felt like you were going to fly off of the tracks going around the curve at 59th St. Nowadways, we get the speed without that feeling. S78 via Hylan Posted January 28, 2010 Share #6 Posted January 28, 2010 I don't know if this counts, but (SIR) express from St. George to Great kills. Man, it's awesome!

I remember those days! You still get that feeling when your zooming by 50th street going downtown at about 42 miles per hour (don't know why they go that fast as there's no grade or anything), right before the timer where the R62 hits the brakes. Bumpiest ride ever, but still fun. I like seeing those tourists who can't hold the pole properly and look scared as if the train's going to fall out of the tracks. Brighton Local Posted January 28, 2010 Share #8 Posted January 28, 2010 The Brighton Express; whether it was the (Q6) or the (; especially when they all had Slants and Mods:tup: (I know, no Mods on the (Q6), just Slants and 42s), The on Lex is great also.. SevenEleven Posted January 28, 2010 Share #9 Posted January 28, 2010 It may be a short run and only 1 stop skipped, but the between 59th and 42nd is cool. It's straight speed, no stopping into the 1st car hits the platform. Always great regardless of the fleet.
