So far they (FB) have most of the 96xx's intact with exceptions of

9660-9666, 9696-9697, all in queens respectively.. QV and Jamaica.

9610 (QV), 9620-9621, 9623-9632 (QV), 9633-9643 (126). I see the 126 buses getting moved before more QV buses get moved. QV buses are getting overhauled right now. 64xx buses, and they gotta make their service levels or else its borrow from Flatbush, and Fresh Pond.

I sure hope not! While FB needs newer RTSes, 126's run hard and are some great buses, I wanna keep them here!

 

On that note, 9632 is today's loaner to Mannyville, M1 service it looks like. If they send out either of the ex-MHV buses (9216 or 9221), that'd be a sight.

 

Wouldn't surprise me they get moved here, fleet age is gonna get younger again when the artics arrives. That and it can mean the moving of the 8800s, 8900s, 9000s.

Those are definitely on the way out, but those are on the way out even without the artics since they're at the EOL (I'll miss those air starters on the 41 though)... Question is what the artics are specifically replacing.

 

I hope not the '98-99 RTS's. The artics probably might send some 96xx's somewhere.

 

The NG's are staying, so to me it only makes sense they would send out the 9600's.

I see the two buses you mentioned almost every day of the week on the M116. Especially 9221.

Yep, I saw 9643 when heading home last night on Nostrand IIRC. I was also wondering why I hadn't seen 9635 in Manhattan all this week. Every single day, 9634 and 9635 would be parked next to each other in the lot at 126.

BUS MOVES

9842, 9845, and 9881 have now joined the Gleason fleet.

Buses have WF decals to be changed over to JG.

Dunno if these were mentioned yet. Spotted those buses this week working on JG routes B11, B68, and B35.
