Fred G Posted November 15, 2010 Share #1 Posted November 15, 2010 Hi all, I got the heads up that the Governor was going to christen the new M8 cars today so I chased the train a bit. Hope you enjoy! Train at New Haven Union Station, track 1 Rounding the bend east of Bridgeport Close up of that face, plus Gov. Rell in the passenger RFW view south/west at Bridgeport Train approaching Milford on its return run. Better view of side too. Passing through Milford, parting shot and thanks for looking. lilbluefoxie Posted November 16, 2010 Share #16 Posted November 16, 2010 and I got my first M2 and M6 rides on the day before the M8s were inaugurated, I say great timing. For us M2 fans, get your rides in now before they all gone or they horde them to put the newer stuff like what the LIRR does with the M3s

AA 8th Avenue Posted November 16, 2010 Share #20 Posted November 16, 2010 My question is if they were made by kawasaki how come they didn't follow the model of the M7/M7As. Man that is a definite butterface... Terrible looking grills. On the side and the interior they are similar just red. Oh well...
m7zanr160s Posted November 16, 2010 Share #21 Posted November 16, 2010 While they do look nice, I think the ends look like cab car ends, instead of true faces; like the M7(A )s.
Queens Surface Posted November 16, 2010 Share #22 Posted November 16, 2010 Maybe because they were built in Japan? As always Fred, awesome shots. But it's being built to run on American rail.
Cait Sith Posted November 16, 2010 Share #23 Posted November 16, 2010 But it's being built to run on American rail. That doesnt mean squat. We had european trains running on American rails. Sorry, but that doesnt mean a damn thing.
Queens Surface Posted November 16, 2010 Share #24 Posted November 16, 2010 That doesnt mean squat. We had european trains running on American rails. Sorry, but that doesnt mean a damn thing. Cait Sith Posted November 16, 2010 Share #25 Posted November 16, 2010 But that is European we are talking Japanese looking trains running on American metro-north rail. Once again, that doesnt mean anything, they can look Japanese but they still run on the American rails, it appears you forgot about the M7 and how that looks....no solid case my friend...
