Because, I too, think it’s a myth.

The express bypass tracks are still passable however.

I actually don't think it is a myth. I don't think that there is a fully unused station there, but I think that some sort of construction was done. I think that at most, part of a station shell was built. I think that construction started, and that because of problems with the high water table, work was stopped. However, I do believe tunnelrat and randyo. They know what they are talking about.
