I was just listening to the radio and there is a report of a smoke condition at Bowery and that M, J and Z trains are not running between Broad Street and Marcy Avenue. I checked the Mtainfo and they said the same thing with the exception of listing the Z train.

I have one question since when does the M still run to Broad Street and what is happening to the M service on the 6th Avenue Line with service to Forest Hills. Don't the persons providing this information ever look at current maps or is this another occurance (which has unfortunately become commonplace) where the information is wrong ?

The public is entitled to correct information and they are not getting it.

From what I've gathered, the situation is in or around the Chrystie Street cut as the B and D are now turning at Herald Sq or W 4 St.

They didn't say the (B) and (D) were affected. I don't see why something on the (J)(M) near Chrystie St. would affect the (B)(D), as the Chrystie tracks are not together at that point, unless it is in the enclosure where the stairway between the two tunnels (which is sealed off with bars) is located.

Due to a police investigation at the 23 Street Station, the following detours are in effect:

South-bound e.png trains are running express between the 42 Street-port Authority Station and the W 4 Street Washington Square Station.

South-bound c.png trains are running express between the 59 Street-Columbus Circle Station and the W 4 Street-Washington Square Station.

Please allow additional travel time.

How is this possible? There are no local-express switches at W4, and the (C) is running to 2 Av...
