Threxx Posted July 15, 2012 Share #1152 Posted July 15, 2012 Riders would not use my B55 to get to JFK from Downtown. The is faster, mostly. There are occasional delays, but not that bad...

B35 via Church Posted July 20, 2012 Share #1157 Posted July 20, 2012 (edited) Why is the B18 using Liberty Avenue, and not Atlantic Avenue? I don't think it matters either way, as Liberty nor Atlantic are new markets..... ------------------- I'm still thinking about what new market would it (the upcoming eny-spring creek route) test down in spring creek, and what part of ENY would it run to..... Don't know if I should speculate, but since this is the "ideas" thread, only thing that comes to mind is a route that goes from new lots subway to the postal facility..... I'm not drawing a google map (someone else could if they're bored enough), but what I'm thinking is a route that: - Parallels the B6 from New Lots to cozine > left on cozine > right on elton > left on vandalia > right on erskine > left on seaview > left on fountain, and then mirroring what the B13 does @ fountain/flatlands to get to the postal facility..... .....they could even use a route like that to justify cutting the 83 back to seaview/penn.... also, they could interline such a route w/ the 15's that short turn @ the postal facility..... ' (Obviously directed at the MTA, not you), but that would be really stupid to cut back the B83 to prop up this new route. I mean, they don't even remotely serve the same area. The B83 connects Starrett City & the Pennsylvania Avenue corridor to Gateway, whereas this route would connect the New Lots area to Gateway. Plus, the route to the Postal Facility would be too indirect, especially since you have the B13, B15, & B20 in that general area.

Threxx Posted July 21, 2012 Share #1164 Posted July 21, 2012 Agree w/B63. That is too imfrequent. The B63 is a connector route, it dosen't need a LTD. It's similar to giving a Crosstown route a LTD.

BM5 via Woodhaven Posted July 24, 2012 Share #1171 Posted July 24, 2012 I propose something for the B38 I plan to extend Limited stop service hours to 9 PM instead of 6:30 PM Also, I plan to make Seneca Avenue buses limited also on Saturdays up to 9PM. I wouldnt rename the B38 Starr Street branch because it would just confuse riders.

I wouldnt rename the B38 Starr Street branch because it would just confuse riders. It dosen't confuse riders now (I know, I ride it everyday) so it won't confuse riders then. I agree with extending LTD service on weekdays, but there is no need for weekend LTD service. The frequency isn't there/isn't necessary.

Broadway Local Posted July 25, 2012 Share #1174 Posted July 25, 2012 (edited) B76 and B76 LTD Updated and Revised Edition created by myself: http://goo.gl/maps/TwD7F Changes from my old B76: - Buses are right now traveling from High Schools so high school students don't need to walk and can get to their stop easily. i.e. Telecommunications, Midwood - People who wants to go to Mill Basin Plaza from Bay Ridge, Sunset Park, Dyker Heights, Bensonhurst, and more can get there by taking this bus without a transfer. This makes rides easier and faster. - Limited Service is available for faster traveling than the B9 or B4 and it will add additional stops for people who needed to go to Bergen Beach. - The bus route can also reduce overcrowding on some bus routes like the B6 and B11. - Bus will serve Flatbush Bus Depot's Buses for easier deadheading. - Local and Limited Bus Routes run every 15-30 minutes depending on School Tripper or Rush Hours What do you think about it?
