Police were on the hunt for the driver of an SUV who fled after crashing through a fence in Brooklyn Wednesday morning and landing atop a (Q) train, officials said. The out-of-control 2006 Nissan careened onto the sidewalk, slammed through a fence at East 16th St. and Albemarle Rd., and ramped onto the passing southbound train at 4:53 a.m. The SUV came to a stop straddling the concrete barrier. The front passenger-side wheel of the SUV was wedged between two of the train cars, which were at street-level, said a 25-year-old woman who snapped a photo of the bizarre scene. “It's amazing! I’ve lived in this neighborhood for 22 years and haven't seen anything like it,” said the woman, who only gave her name as Shoshannah.

Lucky that the car didn't just plunge onto the tracks. A train could have easily plowed right through the car, which would have easily killed the driver.

From the looks of it, if the car plunged into the tracks, a train would not have plowed into it.

1. This happened, according to article, around 5 in the morning which I would believe service is still light there.

2. The (Q) in the photo is clearly mid way passed the area of impact, suggesting that if the truck had fully went over, it would simply go over it and probably just flip over upon impact with the struts of the vehicle.

3. Once landed, it would be pretty visible to another train approaching if applied.

Can't wait for the NYPD to tell us all the driver did nothing wrong.

Because there was never the possibility of this being a mere accident and she ran in fear, but who knows right? </sarcasm>

This gives a whole new meaning to the term "park and ride"!

Good lord, this made my morning.

Whatever it was it has to be a very out of this world drug actually I really don't want to know what she was on cause it must be a scary ass drug. And Seriously what in the Flying f**k how does one even manage this?

Or she was distracted to the point she just plowed into the wall.

Some of you really forget people are texting and/or on the phone while driving and many other distractions occur rather than "drugs" as majority would label.

Try distraction and speed for this.  Look at the front end as the grill and lights have no damage which means the front wheels were already airborne when she hit the barrier lifting her up.  The fence stopped her or she would of been in the side of the train literally.not resting on it. That front is all plastic and only the under portions appeared to be damaged from the photo.  There are no scrape marks on the barrier from metal hitting or the brakes being applied which would give skid marks on the barrier as it road up.
