Not to change the subject, but some of these Next Gens movements to ECH makes me wonder if NYCT will save some units around 4000-4278, 4330-4702 for MTA Bus to remove the old gens in service. Or to change the fareboxes.

That's supposedly the plan. Don't leave 3960-3999 out.

Sadly, it seems like the Eastchester scrap is getting quite busy these days. There is a video of a a not so old MCI being towed to the scrapyard :

All these years the MTA been using that lot as an scrap yard and this is my first time seeing an bus actually being bought into the yard!

It's pretty old.

I'm sure there are more retired buses at EC that haven't been reported in the scrap thread yet.

Idk, I've wondered the same thing. I feel like buses have been driven up there in the past. Perhaps the depot drains the buses' power before being sent to EC. Idk how all that works.
