Meaning im just staying at the terminal relaying trains or taking a train or two or three to the yard...

Got it, that sounds cool. Is that more interesting or more boring than being on the (F)oxtrot?

There does seem to be a glitch, at least for the 8 car units on the Mikey, every time my parter for the day accepts ATO the computer keeps reporting “BIE Alerter” on my screen while under ATO control, despite never dumping the train and my partners all using the alerter correctly.

ATO is in effect in  the Queens Korridor all four Lines....

From speaking to a few coworkers that difference is felt...

Especially Going SB into Grand on D1 track oh boy ....

You can feel the difference too on the NB (F) on those curves between 21st and 36th. Train i rode today went through them at a higher but still safe speed vs APTM and we had the lineup

Give it time i say the Fall or Winter before it might happen...

They can't turn on CBTC until the base order of R211As are here, and signals can't be ripped out until the R68/R68As leave the (B)(D). A good start was removing the R68A (A) train trip from the schedule.

In theory we just need enough plus the R179s to make 40 trains. in theory, we could cancel the Rock Park trains to save us five trains and only need 35 to five us spare capacity.

Uh yes they can all they need is enough R211s as well as the R179s....

I see the Long Term GOs(The ones you folks dont see)..

New Signals are being put into Place they running the wires all they gotta do is connect them.

They looking to get it done have it online(In bits and pieces) next year barring any hiccups.

How much is actually needed for the R211s for (A) plus R179s when it goes online. Because right now the (A) 44 trains for rush hour. Won’t it the (A) need more trains for CBTC ?

The current standard employee timetable calls for 40 trains in the PM rush. We have 13 full length R179s and as such we would need 27 R211As to provide a full CBTC compatible fleet if we leave no spare factor, and at this point we are roughly halfway there.

What is the most recent status update regarding the R179's becoming CBTC equipped?

the most recent update is "that's for Division of Car Equipment to know and for the rest of us to find out when they feel like telling us"
