    4242, 4622, 4240, 4408 & 4605 are on the B99.

    -EDIT-

    4610 as well.

    There are codes for it.

    isn't 4242 an MHV bus?

    Good question.

Nope, not a single MTA worker guiding/informing people about the route along the way, at all.... My guess as to why I saw as many folks on the thing (across multiple buses), is due to the subway entrances being chained off..... Only MTA workers I really saw on street level, were those manning those Mobile Wash Unit trucks (for the subway stations obviously)....

    =================

    Just to add:

While I was on #4605 early this morning, the part of the log where I said "...and at 6th/Canal (where apparently, where we caught up to another B99... both b/o's chatted it up for a couple seconds, then we pulled ahead & eventually made the turn onto 6th, first)",

    That bus was #4610.

Does anyone know the B99 codes? I have tried 499x, 899x, and others, but to no avail.

@XcelsiorBoii4888 @Deucey @BM5 via Woodhaven or someone else, please private message the codes! I don't want them leaked!

I have proposed a Queens TramLink as a joint effort with @WillF40PH. This incorporates many abandoned lines (as @LaGuardia Link N Tra @R68OnBroadway and others have proposed) , as well as new ROWs along many underutilized streets. This is a frequent, not-that-expensive to build system that would run on a frequent basis, allowing a vast expanse of Queens to have rail service that is environmentally friendly, very useful, and cheap.

Please see @WillF40PH's post below for the link to the doc and map.

This is a great idea, but I think that Laguardia Yard is never gonna exist. Also, where is it street running, median-running, and own ROW? That would be helpful to know - as @engineerboy6561, @koolmazinand others have said, it is best to have median or own ROW running.

    Here is the revised L96:

    https://www.google.com/maps/d/u/0/viewer?hl=en&mid=1iPIjl4bFkf6V_kXI-HNxBXnPEfQD3Uwh&ll=41.044106600536914%2C-74.01035990000003&z=11

    And the details:

    • Fleet
    • TPH
      • L96A branch: 4TPH
      • L96B branch: 4TPH
      • L96C branch: 7TPH
      • This makes for 15TPH across the bridge, and 8TPH to Sparkill.
      • In addition, during the rush, there are shuttles (designated L96S) that run from Tarrytown to Nyack-Artopee at 5TPH, so 20TPH across the bridge during the rush.

    @Collin @OrionVIIonM79 @B35 via Church  @T to Dyre Avenue @MeeP15-9112 @MysteriousBtrain @LaGuardia Link N Tra @Around the Horn@limitednyc @Gotham Bus Co @Gotham Bus Co. Thoughts?

I think this is a good idea, but how are you gonna run that section through central nyack? Stadler FLIRTs can't run on street, I think. Why not a different DMU (I don't think that a Stadler GTW would be good, though). Is there another DMU that could work?

Ah ok. So maybe have Northern just be a tram with connections to 63rd (a la MUNI San Francisco):

    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1XYDafyiqwG22P3HyZMl-gLG2FB9_Kflv&usp=sharing

    Notes:

    • TPH
      • Flushing to 36th
        • Rush
          • 30TPH
        • Non-Rush/Weekends
          • 15TPH
        • Overnight
          • 10TPH
      • 36th to 57th (via 63rd)
        • Rush
          • 15TPH - (F) at 15TPH (with CBTC, 63rd can handle 30TPH, correct?)
        • Non-Rush/Weekends
          • 7.5TPH
        • Overnight
          • 5TPH
      • 36th to 59th (via Bridge)
        • Rush
          • 15TPH
        • Non-Rush/Weekends
          • 7.5TPH
        • Overnight
          • 5TPH
    • Payment
      • $2.75, OMNY
    • Fleet
      • Siemens S200, due to high-level platforms on 63rd. Select stations on Northern would have high-level platforms (Broadway, maybe 82nd, Junction, 108th, Citi Field, Flushing)

    Thoughts @Union Tpke @WillF40PH @Mnrr6131 @LaGuardia Link N Tra @mrsman @engineerboy6561 @danig1220?

This is a great idea, however are you sure a 15/15 split in 63rd is the best idea? Maybe a 12/18 split ((F) runs 18TPH). But, could the QB bridge handle 18TPH?

Also, there is NO WAY that you could have 82nd be high-level, assuming you are going off San Francisco. I've been there and 82nd would be way too small.

Maybe link this to a Whitestone or College Point Line (I think @LaGuardia Link N Tra proposed that) or a Fresh Meadows Line, but it's your proposal.

  5. 1 hour ago, Jova42R said:

Thanks! Would Fresh Meadows be better served by light rail as well? Maybe instead of a Forest Hills-Fresh Meadows (N) line, there could be a Flushing-Fresh Meadows line. I think that we can provide 20TPH on the Jamaica-Flushing portion, and 10TPH on each branch w/o Fresh Meadows. With Fresh Meadows, 24TPH on the mainline, of which 12TPH each to Whitestone and Bayside, and 12TPH each to Fresh Meadows and Jamaica. Thoughts?

I like this idea. North parts of Queens could be well served with light rail. Only a short (7) extension and Astoria - LIE line would really be needed for heavy rail at this point in time and that can just be an (N)(W) / (R)(W) extension.

I like the Fresh Meadows line. I think that a 15TPH on Whitestone/Bayside and 15TPH on Fresh Meadows/Jamaica and 30TPH on the mainline from Queens College to Jamaica. Could this work?

This could be branded as a subway (the (H)) or a new LIRR Line:

Riverdale MNR (terminates on side track, reactivated)

via the Amtrak West Side Line

Inwood - Dyckman St walk to (A)

177 St (enter from Haven Av)

    158 St walk to (1)

    125 St walk to (1)

96 St (tunnel to Broadway) (1)(2)(3)

    83 St

    75 St

    62 St

    48 St

    41 St

    Penn Station (1)(2)(3)(A)(C)(E)(NJT)(MTA)LIRR Amtrak

through a new junction to the Lower Montauk Branch

    Greenpoint Av

    Haberman

    48 St

    Maspeth Av

    Flushing Av

    Eliot Av

    Metropolitan Av (M)

    Glendale - 73 St

    Atlas Park - 80 St

    88 St

    Union Tpke

    Park Ln S

    121 St (J)(Z)

    Jamaica (E)(J)(Z)(MTA)LIRR

    Thoughts?

I think this could work, but I think you should ax the 41 St station, and move the 48 St station to 53rd. Also, does the Freedom Tunnel have room for these stations (especially 96th, 83rd, 75th, and 62nd?) As well, are you thinking of quadruple-tracking the northern part of the tunnel and/or double-tracking the southern single-tracked part?

    Hi everyone!

After learning how to make animated signs on Piskelapp, I now know how to make rollsigns on Sketch.io.

    You can request:

    R32 Rollsings

    R42 Rollsigns

    R68/A Rollsigns

    R62/A Rollsigns

You can request any bullet that has been used in NYC Subway History. I can’t do any bullets that have never been used. Hope you enjoy the signs I make, and request away!

    Thanks

    @Jova42R

    Could I have

    R32

    West Village

    Broome St

    Fort Greene

    St Felix St

    (D) Delancey

          Lee - Crosstown

    Hi all!

In addition to my rollsigns and Piskelapp signs, I can now make R211 front end signs! These are made using sketch.io, the same platform used to make my rollsigns, and are based off the pictures I have seen. You CANNOT request FIND signs, unfortunately. Again, you can only request bullets used in NYC subway history! Below is an example ((N) to Astoria):

    R211 (N)

Hope you like these signs, and request away!

    Could I have:

    :8: West Village

          Broome St
