All that's left are the 7000s in Brooklyn.

 

Yes but the 7000's are leaving they're going to Staten Island, Same with QV's. I just spoke to the union rep & this is what he told me, so bye bye 3G's & hello 30 more Xcelsiors. I can't stand these 3G's, out of 79 RTSs & 60 Xcelsiors I manage to get a god damn 3G.

Why don't you like the Orion VII 3Gs? They are just like all the other 2000+ units between MTA and NICE (except diesel powered).

I never liked them, the appearance is nice but i just dont like em. Everybody has their opinions on a bus, the bus gets me to where i gotta go but otherwise i dont like them one bit.

 

Don't forget, the upper 2200s are also coming in to QV. That would probably lead to the rest of their 2001-2002 MCIs to be transferred over to Ulmer Park. BTW, any reason for why some of the retired MCIs returning to service?

 

Nope, MCI's are going to Charleston & the retired ones are coming back because they're short on buses thats why.

 

Oh my the BT&Es are moving to one depot. 90 LFS to QV. 90 XD40 to UP. 90 3Gs to CAS. No more variety at staten island. Ooohh I need to see GIJOEs reaction! :P

 

I know his reaction already, when he was with me the other week he was flipping lol.

3Gs aren't that bad. I don't mind riding those buses. The interior isn't too bad. All forward facing seats ftw!

the thing is the engine...if it had a allison b400r then i would have a different impression on these buses

 

 

I don't like how everyone gets their preference for a particular bus based on the powertrain that it's carrying. Sure it can be used as part of your reasoning, but I've heard some guys using powertrain solely as the excuse for not liking a bus. Me, I really don't care what shows up where and when. Sure I would want x and not y but it is what it is. I have people to do and things to see these days.

 

I'm not an 'engine' fan. I wouldn't know the difference nor do I care to know. Just sayin.

Still assigned to QV but is just OOS (For Now)

 

 

Looks like Gun Hill is not getting new buses, they getting more buses from MJQ
