Depends on how old the tanks are---801, the first bus, was pulled because its tanks expired. These buses probably only have a year or so left on their tanks. I do hope that one is re-tanked and preserved.

Its * Re-Certified & I heard 801 had engine problems so its still sitting in college point this is what i heard .

To further back up both statements, yes, 801 is still at College Point just sitting there. A bus operator that i know told me that bus has engine problems. He often got to drive 801 when it was still in service and would often check if that bus was available for him to drive.

Well all the 890's are wiped out! The 810's will soon be wiped out. I really hope the mta does preserve a c40 it doesn't have to be 801 it could be lets say 874, or another one. I think from the Orion v cng's 9932 would have a chance to be preserved as well.

433-435 and 437 arrived a JG. 4950 & 9057 are both still assigned to EN, they are at JG for maintenance work.

Since when does ENY (RTS specialists) need to send an RTS out for repair?? And to a CNG depot??? The world must be ending soon LOL

There is buses all over the system for repairs especially if a location is overloaded....You got 4505 at EC for repairs, 9308 at CP for repairs. IIRC, some shops specialize in certain maintenance practices and remember too, JG was a RTS depot, hell every depot was a RTS depot at one point so it should not be far fetched to send buses to other depots for work.

801 is sitting in College Point, but its on the official DOA list.

Sorry to say, 801 is not at CP, it was towed out of CP at least 6 weeks ago. I was supposed to drive it up to ECH for scrap, but the engine was so shot it was inoperable. It started and ran like a shake table while pissing oil w/ coolant in the oil,(check eng.& stop eng. telltales on)then stalled not be started again (plenty of cranking). So the CP decided to have it towed. I watched then put it on a hook.
