Yup I saw 8970 Pulling out of FLA Depot earlier around just before 11am a female in Plain Clothing was driving it back towards EN with JFK stickers on it.

They lost a bunch of 97-98s in the recent transfer.

Um...Jamaica caught a HUGE break in 2009 with the NGs (#4400s) and again in 2010 with more NGs (#4656-4700) and then just recently with 45 LFS (#8045-8089). So clearly, this is to balance the fleet even more.

They lost the 4400s for the LFS's

But basically the 99 Novas have been the back bone of there fleet for years...

I would hate to start working in Jamaica Depot and not be able to at least touch a 99 Nova before everything is said and done...

At the same time, they received a ton of 88s and 8900s from the past summer/fall pick, so they really aren't losing much at all. They're basically losing the surplus they received.

 

Posted a few of these already, and nah, 5616 is at OH.

With the schedule adjustments on several routes over at JFK, this makes sense to me now.

Some of these may be duplicates, but these buses are new to JFK: 5536, 5556, 5559, 5645, and 5687. The artics are likely displacing the RTSs to East New York, at least 3 of which were at ENY for many years prior.
