The countdown clock problem was only part of the issue today. I was at Buhre on the  (6) around 11a.m. They displayed that the train schedule was not available. Then there was an announcement that because of a power failure at the RCC there were delays and then another one saying there was no service whatsoever. I walked to Pelham Bay only to be told by an employee that there was no service on any of the numbered lines. Horrible communication!! And website only displayed signal problems on the  (6) ...

Would have been helpful to know there were 20+ minute headways on the #1 train in both directions at Times Square today so I could have taken an alternate route.  The #2 and #3 could have run local to supplement the #1 train.  No countdown clocks were working, no announcements were made, people just kept waiting and waiting and waiting.   Better communication and increased headways would have been much appreciated.

In the 5 PM hour, the body was still on the platform but covered up.

BTW, 1 trains were discharging at 34 Street on the express track and 2 ad 3 trains were running local to 14 Street, beyond which local track power was cut.

No (A) service between Howard Bch and Rockaway Blvd for 4 hours now. I wonder what is going on with the shuttle bus...

That's a bitch when you are going to the Shuttle Bus. You'd have to take the hourly Q11 to Howard Beach JFK, then go around fare control and ask to be taken for the shuttle bus, which sucks because the line divides the two areas in half without underpasses. That's a PITA, that's happened to me once when there wasn't any (A) to Howard Beach (on 20 minute headways).

That explains the ridership drop then LOL.

What do you mean, the Q11 has always been half hourly (hourly on the branches) ever since MTA Bus came in fruition. Most of the drop was because of riders shifting unto the Q21 because they're always schediled to come together on saturdays northbound.

Mon, April 15th at 4:41pm

Due to police activity at Greenpoint Av, there is no (G) train service in both directions between Bedford Nostrand avs and Court Sq.

I wonder if this is counterterrorism activity at the greenpoint tube following the incidents in Boston....

No, not a CTT measure, but a 12-9 at Nassau St. Find it strange though that the (F) is being rerouted down the (G) though....
