Calvin Posted November 3, 2015 Share #5776 Posted November 3, 2015 (edited) Is 1934 not still on the ? damn it! I forgot to add that unit, oops Edited November 3, 2015 by Calvin
Grand Concourse Posted November 3, 2015 Share #5777 Posted November 3, 2015 It can still happen. At the moment maybe the 1800s were not ready to be moved over to the 6 yet. As for the cars the 6 will get: they will need at least a few 2000s since 1900s will still be needed on the S. And the 7 has 400+ cars to return back. The mainline lines will get some extra trains since the 6 is giving up fewer trains than it will take back because the 7 had at least 8 brand new train sets and all the insert cars. Some r142as on the 6 is going to be pushed out to the 4 so the 4 can push a few r142s over to the 2/5.

NewFlyer 230 Posted November 6, 2015 Share #5779 Posted November 6, 2015 What happen to the seats when a 62A is converted. I heard that the seats are still there but that wall is just in the way now. I don't know how true that is.
jon2305 Posted November 6, 2015 Share #5780 Posted November 6, 2015 Take a look into an empty R62/A cab. From what I've seen there's absolutely no seats but rather sort of a heating unit installed. Also if seats were still there than how would C/Os & T/Os do their jobs looking out onto the platforms for customers without being comfortable.

Tech And Transit Posted November 10, 2015 Share #5783 Posted November 10, 2015 Is 7855 in service yet? It's the worst looking factory car in service. Sometimes, I even think it is a conversion when it is coming in. 7855 is pretty much always in service.

I've said this numerous times and have provided several links to videos on my YouTube channel. Hopefully this post clears up any last confusion. 7860-70 at Times Square NIS: 7860-7870 bypassing 5th Avenue NIS: 7866-7870 CBTC testing at Flushing: 7860-7870 CBTC testing at Willets Point: I also got more footage of this set during the 7 shuttle G.O. this past weekend.

Javier Posted November 13, 2015 Share #5799 Posted November 13, 2015 Wait wait wait, what C car is coupled up to 7276 because I might have gotten my C cars mixed up with the factory sets.
Tech And Transit Posted November 13, 2015 Share #5800 Posted November 13, 2015 7883 is in 7882-7887 and 7905 is inserted between 7279 and 7280. Why would 7883 be inserted with 7279? C cars start at 7899 and go until 7936. Factory sets are numbered 7811-7898. And all eight factory sets have been delivered so this should all be common knowledge by now...
