For those who will be reporting to Livingston Street in the immediate future, click here for the pre-employment packet (if you need it). The CPD-B booklet is not necessary since this is not a civil service position.

For those of you who are still waiting, you folks might want to check out this and this YouTube video. In addition, if you need help getting your Class B CLP (Commercial Learner's Permit), I would encourage you to check out cristcdl.com, which is free! Remember, the multiple-choice tests you need to take and pass, at minimum, are General Knowledge, Air Brakes and Passenger Endorsement.

If you need to make an appointment at the DMV to take the multiple-choice examinations for your Commercial Learner's Permit, click here.

Good luck!

Got the email for the 9/13 class, medical next week. 🤞hows the training going for those who are in the 8/16 class?

@Natalie what did they say about shoes? maybe I can give you a pointer.

Was your class postponed before ? I'm only asking because im in bus TA operator 7612 and my march 30th class was postponed.  Everyone in exam 7612 hasn't heard a thing from 180 livingston except conjecture.

Just got an email for medical and final processing on 8/31!! So excited and nervous at the same time.

After reading the email at the bottom it mentions how planned vacations will not be honored. I don’t have a planned vacation however I am in the wedding party of a close friends wedding set to take place in may of 2021. Is there any flexibility or way to request off for such an event?

@Natalie thank you so much, I really appreciate that. I was biting my nails everyday lol! Please keep me/us updated on your progression in training, I love to hear updates! As far as the work boots, if you have a modells near you I’d stop in there. As far as I know you get issued work boots after everything is said and done. Modells is going out of business and everything is dirt cheap, If not check dicks sporting goods!

@Moody no my class was not postponed, I did my pre employment drug test the first week of august. Didn’t know the process of this until i read the forums.

@Biggington congrats, let’s goo! In may of 21 you’ll still be on probation and you don’t get vacation from what I’ve read in other threads. That might have to be canceled; However, don’t quote me since i don’t work there. Just was scrolling and reading old posts. None the less good luck.  When in doubt ask questions at zerega. The main goal is to get on.

If you work on holidays. You can save days as AVA and then you can request them for the days you want in may. It’s not a perfect solution but it works. You can also switch your RDO to accommodate the days you need off. Again not a perfect solution but it works. How many days do you need off?

I was there for my medical and fingerprinting yesterday and it took me from 7 in the morning all the way to 2 in the afternoon. And sorry I just saw it says medium type work shoes but I asked them if I could wear work boots and she told me no shoes for the first day. I guess ill wear shoes and then Ill wear my working boots for the training.

To give you guys an update from my class (8/16/20) all passed today on Day 7;  I didn't feel personally like the course was overly hard, just have to watch out for bikes and people!  Mind you for my class Days 2-4 were trainwrecks we all felt like we weren't going to make it, yet all of us pulled through! You just have to listen and apply everything they tell you, We had 2 Permits and 1 License in the class.  Supt even made me take the bus back through the Midtown Tunnel which was nerve wracking but like everything else they teach you, take your time and go slow!!

We have to report for Equipment training tomorrow for the Nova Buses and the New Flyers
