mtattrain 1,185 #5 Posted September 8, 2012 Damn, did you get any R44 numbers? And must you be with an employee to see this?
Jdog14 758 #6 Posted September 8, 2012 Damn, did you get any R44 numbers? And must you be with an employee to see this? I don't remember the numbers unfortunetly. No, you can see it w/o being with a TA employee.

Wow I thought that was just a storage lot cause of where it was located....so I saw these photos and I was curious...then I checked google maps...and the yard was the exact place I was talking about cause I said in random thoughts....there's a train lot under some building on linden blvd and eldert lane....turns out its pitkin lol I really thought pitkin was someone in manhattan....smh...I should stay with buses
Q10 Airport 134 #19 Posted September 16, 2012 Cool pics! Now as for whether the R38 will see life as a museum display, maybe some of the 38's in Pitkin will fill in that hole some day?

Kinda cool how buildings are built right over the yard.
trainfan22 1,753 #22 Posted September 17, 2012 Awesome OP, just awesome! LOL, being that this yard is under a building makes it that much funnier that all those hidden jewels (38s, 44s and those BMT cars) are stored down there. OP also solved the mystery of where the TA was storing that 38 pair, that's the only one left and the others are in the ocean, now wherever the 32, 40S/M and 42 museum pair are stored remains a mystery, I wouldn't be surprised if there stored in that yard out of view lol.
