qjtransitmaster Posted September 4, 2013 Share #351 Posted September 4, 2013 Nobody. That's why I said it was empty. They're service is worse than MCRAP. Preach brother ohh in other news 2 more oceanfail routes bit the dust OC7&8 were eliminated July 2nd months back. You mean MCAT? Hence why I suggested NJT purge them and have their 600 series absorb them the 600&619 and a suburban bus route. The 400 line.
busdude2 Posted September 4, 2013 Share #352 Posted September 4, 2013 5374 had been stationed at Newton Ave from the time it arrived as a new bus to a couple of weeks ago when it was sent to Washington Twp. Sorry I meant 5274.

You mean MCAT? Hence why I suggested NJT purge them and have their 600 series absorb them the 600&619 and a suburban bus route. The 400 line. Let's leave the Suburban 400 alone. That and the 138 have that area locked tight during the week. Weekend however is another story. New Academy Bus commercial using an NJT owned MCI I honestly have no comment, as they're advertising a NJ-NYC service, but they're using an NJT-owned bus. I'll let some others chime in on it.
Orion VII 4 Life Posted September 5, 2013 Author Share #355 Posted September 5, 2013 I would expect them to use a state bus in a commuter service ad. Pretty good ad too, if only Transit knew how to advertise like that.
mfs NJT459 Posted September 10, 2013 Share #356 Posted September 10, 2013 something worth noting.... Southbound 67X/319 from Journal Square no longer serve stops along Broad St in Newark, they express from Newark Penn Station to Toms River Northbound trips continue to drop off passengers on Broad St
FlashThunder Posted September 10, 2013 Share #357 Posted September 10, 2013 Saw a Neoplan driving into gate 211 and nearly lost my mind over it... but fortunately, it was at the wrong place and quickly pulled out of the lane. I don't ever want to see a Neoplan on 166T under any circumstances...
DaTransitMan4608 Posted September 10, 2013 Share #358 Posted September 10, 2013 Anybody know why the door announcements on the MCIs are so muffled and inaudible? I can barely hear the voice say "Route 139, New York via Freehold Center" or whatever.
BZGuy Posted September 11, 2013 Share #359 Posted September 11, 2013 Saw a Neoplan driving into gate 211 and nearly lost my mind over it... but fortunately, it was at the wrong place and quickly pulled out of the lane. I don't ever want to see a Neoplan on 166T under any circumstances... The 166 needs all the help it can get. And don't sleep on those Neo's....the Fairview guys keep up with traffic on the turnpike when they use them on the 321. Anybody know why the door announcements on the MCIs are so muffled and inaudible? I can barely hear the voice say "Route 139, New York via Freehold Center" or whatever. I don't think they are weatherproofed very good. All our MCIs with the door announcements sound like crap, plus it's a low priority replacement item.
Cait Sith Posted September 11, 2013 Share #360 Posted September 11, 2013 It was most interesting seeing (and hearing) these on the 559.

Cait Sith Posted September 14, 2013 Share #366 Posted September 14, 2013 @FlashThunder....I SAW A NABI ON THE 166 as well! I thought it was just a random sign! Some audio recordings from last Monday
FlashThunder Posted September 17, 2013 Share #367 Posted September 17, 2013 Looks like HBLR has some new announcements. 1. Please hold on as train departs the station 2. Please let the passengers exit first and NJT completely ripped off MTA's "see something, say something announcement." Instead of "MTA Employee" it says "Light rail employee."
DaTransitMan4608 Posted September 18, 2013 Share #368 Posted September 18, 2013 Anyone notice more and more D4000's have been on the 67? That's all I've been seeing on that line lately.
Cait Sith Posted September 19, 2013 Share #369 Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) Anyone notice more and more D4000's have been on the 67? That's all I've been seeing on that line lately. I've been seeing the same thing. 9024 broke down earlier leaving a shit ton of passengers at Newport Mall. That was going to be my ride down, ugh. 553 Bridgeton Posted September 19, 2013 Share #370 Posted September 19, 2013 (edited) Thankfully it wasnt 9025 i have faith in 9025 lol. Well as for the 40s on the 67 it runs every 2hrs so its not like it needs 45s. There have been times i posted on the 67 and only had Bout 30 ppl the entire way down to lakewood. First few times this was during rush hour. Felt like i was a express cause i picked up no one once i left Newark. The 67X gets way more usuage. MarkD329 Posted September 20, 2013 Share #374 Posted September 20, 2013 im starting to see driver shields on Newton Ave NABIs They have been around for a month or so. I saw one on 5569 back in August. The shields are popping up on Hamilton Garage buses in Trenton as well, and don't be surprised that they are showing up on Egg Harbor's NABIs too.
FlashThunder Posted September 21, 2013 Share #375 Posted September 21, 2013 Peep the max speed, that was what Oradell's 8988 hit while on the 139 last night. With the right bus and the right driver, I love being on 166T late at night when there's no traffic on the turnpike... you know what i mean
