Just got email for Medical on the 14th for Nov 26th class

List #41x

Did pre emply 11/5

Edit: For anyone that did Medical, do you know how long the process is? Dont think I can take another full day off from work

Awesome news.

Did my 3rd PE 11/7.

They said look out for medical email mid next week.

Its looking like this nov 26 class is falling in line with the deferments and the mid 6 hundreds and up.

What to expect when I go for pre employment on 11/16 we just fill out paperwork and do a medical. Does transit have a packet we have to fill out?

Yes.

Its basic information and your piss test.

Last ten years of residency, all jobs from high school, are you a citizen or visa holder.

Hs diploma, birth certificate, ss card, drivers license etc etc.

arrive by 6:30 and you’ll be out by noon.

Most for some reason show up after 7am and sit all day.

I always show up at 6am and leave by 10:30

good luck brother.  Please bring a blue pen and ignore the overly loud security guard.

Shes harmless, just talks loud.

One guy talked back and got escorted out the building.  Smh. Full moron.

Dont be be that guy and get this damn job

Fill out the paperwork they sent you. They will give you 3 more papers to fill out that day. You will be sent to the lab for a Drug Test. They will give you "Homework" which is a 21 page booklet for your work history etc..... But for Pre Employment no medical is done that day. Medical will be another day when they want to hire you(which they will email/call you)

When do you clear probation? I clear mine December 26th but Train Operator is a childhood dream of mine. I can't pass that up.

Thanks a lot for the informationand good luck on your journey. So im getting mixed responses as to my driver license issue. Does my past suspension and moving violations disqualify me or this position a license is not required? Thanks

You need to have no pending tickets against you and no money due to the city for any previous tickets, plus your current license has to be active!

Tell me about it i’ve always wanted to operate them trains since i can remember but i don’t clear for a another 6 months. I don’t like to play the everything in one basket game i like multiple outcomes to a situation.

Accept this now without finishing that probation period is to much of a gamble. I waited years to be apart of the Agency. I’m not trying to lose my spot. Regardless! T/O will forever be there. Besides we basically got 4 long years with this current list. More then enough time to reinstate.

Yea they are. But word up here. They saying that a lot of T/O’s are going to be retiring while the L train is out of service so they wanna get as many in and trained now before they lose a mass number of operators. Which is perfect but i have a feeling soon as the L shut down they gonna freeze the hiring  process for T/O’s for a while. Mainly because they already gotta relocate a large number of L line operators plus the new ones they bringing down.

So get in! get in now! Me on the other hand i’ll be making all that overtime from the L shuttles that us B/O’s can’t wait for lmao. It’s gonna be epic everyone up here already talking about 150k plus the first year.

Nah won’t see me on the 4th go! Get that job and don’t forget to come back and share your experience with everyone! Good luck!

Does anyone know if we need dispositons for crimnal records or arrest and colleg transcripts for the medical

Not sure about the transcripts but you need the dispositions and make sure they are original copies with the court seal on it that's all they will accept

Yep, you definitely need that disposition. You need that at the pre-employment or they will send you to get it. That will make the process longer, so get it beforehand. College transcripts I don't think are necessary. I believe a high school diploma is required.

I don't remember pre-employment day dealing with criminal records. That's on the CPD though

That’s what’s up! Lol i wear glasses to my ninja. I mean they smooth glasses lol but they glasses. As long as you got them on when you go in for your medical your fine. Don’t show up without them because they’ll put you on hold.  If you wear contact lenses just bring a pair of your glasses as well so they can see you have options just on case.

Other then that you should be fine. Oh watch out for how you answer them sleep apnea questions! Just some advice seen one to many people put on hold for falling asleep in front of the TV. And of course It happens but if you say it happens a lot. They’ll want to know why. You’ll see what i mean when you do the questionnaire down at livingston.

Lol ok good looking out, well I don’t have sleep apnea and I’m about my weight for my height, I’m 6 foot about 195 pounds. I actually never fall asleep in front of a tv but I appreciate the looking out, thanks for the info bro.

Nowhere in the papers does it say to bring those on that day.
