MysteriousBtrain Posted March 11, 2015 Share #14526 Posted March 11, 2015 When is Baisley Bus Depot ever going to get these new buses? When the XD60s get delivered to MTA bus, there will be some at BP.

NewFlyer 230 Posted March 11, 2015 Share #14528 Posted March 11, 2015 When is Baisley Bus Depot ever going to get these new buses? Probably next year. I have been waiting for a long time. I have been on the Nova LFS, articulated version & C40LF. XD40 & XD60 I never been on.Sometime next year probably the 2002 and 2003 D60HF's at JFk will probably be done by then. I can't wait to see some nice and new shiny XD60's with that crayola smelling interior that most buses have when they are new.
Q113 LTD Posted March 11, 2015 Share #14529 Posted March 11, 2015 Sometime next year probably the 2002 and 2003 D60HF's at JFk will probably be done by then. I can't wait to see some nice and new shiny XD60's with that crayola smelling interior that most buses have when they are new. I saw a lot of D60HF's on side of the road near JFK Depot. I was thinking why they are there. Most likely they can't fit in the lot with the rest of the Orion Vll, Orion Vll NGs and some RTS(if im not mistaken). I really miss the D60HF when it used to ran on the Q113 years ago.
MysteriousBtrain Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14530 Posted March 12, 2015 I like how almost all day, including now, 180, 5185, and 5188 appeared on the Q50. Something that will likely never happen again. It was a good day to hunt the Q50, but I got tired from taking midterms.....
MTA Dude Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14531 Posted March 12, 2015 Got bored so I decided to do some strolling all over Flushing. First walked from Holly Av to LIE, took the Q17, transfered to Q31, then to Q27, then the Q25. Wow. Would you sacrifice 25% of service just to get your D60HFs back?
MTA Dude Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14532 Posted March 12, 2015 BTW I saw John Bowne kids getting dismissed. I wonder where all those Q44's come from that get crowded the moment the doors open.
SevenEleven Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14533 Posted March 12, 2015 I saw them run an unmarked LFS too That's 2107. LFS were almost all I saw on that Shuttle. Was this in recent weeks? A lot of the D30s have been out of service since their registrations have to be renewed.

In my opinion JFK is the wrong place for artics.
S78 via Hylan Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14535 Posted March 12, 2015 They can't fit in that depot. In my opinion JFK is the wrong place for artics.Ride the Q10 and then you'll see why they have them.
MysteriousBtrain Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14536 Posted March 12, 2015 They can't fit in that depot. In my opinion JFK is the wrong place for artics. So where should the Q10 go because that's the main reason JFK has artics.
MTA Dude Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14537 Posted March 12, 2015 Ride the Q10 and then you'll see why they have them. Rode it once when it had Orion 7. How bad is the ridership?
Fresh Pond Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14538 Posted March 12, 2015 They can't fit in that depot. In my opinion JFK is the wrong place for artics. If they can't fit, they how do they get repaired? They can fit, just not enough room for them
MysteriousBtrain Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14539 Posted March 12, 2015 Rode it once when it had Orion 7. How bad is the ridership? It is the busiest bus route in the city I believe.
MTA Dude Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14540 Posted March 12, 2015 It is the busiest bus route in the city I believe. Busier than the Q58 and some other Flushing routes?
S78 via Hylan Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14541 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Busier than the Q58 and some other Flushing routes? He meant busiest of Bus Company, not New York City Bus. As for the Q10 itself, ridership is quite heavy, even at night. Edited March 12, 2015 by S78 via Hylan
MysteriousBtrain Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14542 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Busier than the Q58 and some other Flushing routes? Not exactly.... I mean in bus company, the Q10 is the busiest route in the company. Routes in Flushing go a little over the Q10 ridership. Kingsbridgeviewer382 Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14543 Posted March 12, 2015 (edited) Busier than the Q58 and some other Flushing routes? The Flushing routes are not as busy as the B46 & the M15 (Both regarded as the busiest routes in the nation) Think about it. GojiMet86 Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14544 Posted March 12, 2015 That's 2107. Was this in recent weeks? A lot of the D30s have been out of service since their registrations have to be renewed. I haven't seen it in about 2 months. I'm inferring then that they'll be primarily using the New Flyers from now on?
NewFlyer 230 Posted March 12, 2015 Share #14545 Posted March 12, 2015 Ride the Q10 and then you'll see why they have them. I know why the Q10 has them but the schedule at times causes 2 artics to come very close to each other and these buses are not packed. The way the Q44 uses the artics makes their purpose necessary. The Q10 is all over the place with its loads. You can have a LTD going to kew Gardens half full and then you have a local behind it with only a few people on it. Coming back from Kew Gardens buses are full usually.
S78 via Hylan Posted March 13, 2015 Share #14546 Posted March 13, 2015 Not packed? I beg to differ. Going towards JFK, buses tend to empty out at Rockaway Blvd.

Going towards Kew Gardens, it gets the loads at Rockaway Blvd and Liberty Avenue, especially if its a local.
