Wallyhorse Posted September 4, 2011 Share #4 Posted September 4, 2011 That sad anniversary surely got lost in the fact we were dealing with that storm last week at this time. I was at work, actually able to watch coverage of it since in those days Channel 9 was available on my cable system (as I recall, they did have live coverage of that). Shortline Bus Posted September 4, 2011 Share #9 Posted September 4, 2011 That August 1991 was a wild month with news headlines here at home in metro NYC and worldwide. In addition to that tragic crash, you had the Crown Heights riots and the failed coup that ended the Soviet Union as well. Graduated high school that summer. Was working at a barnes and noble bookstore that summer. Later on that Sept., I would begin my freshmen year at Kingsborough Community College. It was later i would attend SUNY Buffalo College and SUNY Oneonta.
