What sucks about Queens Blvd being down is that you have a large swath of Queens which genuinely become stranded; there aren't a ton of other subway alternatives, and generally speaking the bus networks in Forest Hills/Kew Gardens area aren't great at getting you to the (7) or (J)(Z) on a large scale.

This is something they’re trying to address in the Bus redesigns, however people are complaining about that because they can’t see the big picture.

Part Suspended

There is no (N)(W) train service between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and Queensboro Plaza.

Take a Q69 or Q101 bus.

(N)(W) trains are holding in stations in Queens while FDNY responds to a track fire near 39 Av-Dutch Kills.

Expect delays in both directions.

Listen for announcements to hear if your train will be turned for southbound service.

Take a (7) train for service to Queens.

Is it just me or am I seeing these "urgent track repairs" issue quite frequently now?

Some Reroutes

There is no M train service between Delancey St-Essex St and Forest Hills.

Some northbound E trains are running on the C line from 42 St to 168 St.

What's Happening?

We're addressing a network communication problem in Queens after multiple trains had their brakes activated near 36 St.

Additional Updates:

The last stop on some 71 Av-bound M trains will be Chambers St on the J line.

Some 71 Av-bound M trains are running on the F line from 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr to Lexington Av/63 St, then via the Q line to 96 St.

Northbound R trains are running express from Queens Plaza to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Some northbound R trains are running on the Q line from 57 St-7 Av to 96 St.

Some northbound C trains are running express from Canal St to 59 St-Columbus Circle.

Board rerouted northbound C trains on the middle express platform at 34 St-Penn Station.

Some northbound F trains are running on the G line from Bergen St to Court Sq, then via the E line to Jackson Hts-Roosevelt Av.

Expect ACEFGJMRQ delays in both directions.

Listen for announcements to hear how your train will run.

QBL is down again

and it's going to get worse now that Queens Blvd east CBTC is starting. This why I had suggested in the other forum that for QB East, service east of 71 Av should be completely shut down weekends. Installing CBTC while trains run all times is a nonstarter. At least with the (L) (7) and Culver (F) installations, you had big GOs suspending service such as:

1. No (L) trains West of Lorimer St or Broadway Junction,

2. No (7) service west of Queensboro Plaza or west of 74 St

3. No (F) service south of Church Av

*these changes give track workers and CBTC engineers uninterrupted access to the track, and many of these GOs are several weekends long (4-7 weekend stretches at a time)

Part Suspended

(H) trains are not running between Beach 90 St and Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St in both directions.

(H) trains are running in a counter-clockwise loop, stopping at:

Broad Channel

Beach 90 St, then making (A) train stops to:

Far Rockaway-Mott Av, then making (A) train stops back to:

Broad Channel

We're addressing a mechanical problem on a train near Rockaway Park-Beach 116 St.

Don’t you just love how one train at QBP with BIE can completely bork the entire Broadway Line?

(N)(W) trains are running with extensive delays in both directions after we removed a train from service that had its brake activated at Queensboro Plaza.

Northbound (N)(R)(W) trains have resumed making regular stops.

Northbound (R) trains are running with delays.

While we get trains back on schedule:

For service between Queens and Manhattan consider using (7)(E)(F)(M)(R) trains.

For service in Manhattan consider using (Q)(R) trains.

No northbound (2)(5) in the Bronx.

Southbound (5) suspended in the Bronx.

There is very limited southbound (2) service from the Bronx to Manhattan.

Southbound (4)(5) trains are running locally in Brooklyn.

(2)(5) trains are running with extensive delays in both directions in the Bronx.

Northbound (2) trains are running on the (1) line from 96 St to 137 St-City College, the last stop.

Northbound (5) trains are running on the (4) line from 149 St-Grand Concourse to Burnside Av, the last stop.

There is a significant disruption to (2)(5) service in Upper Manhattan and the Bronx.

What's Happening?

We're addressing a switch problem near Bronx Park East.

Travel Alternatives

As an alternative to (2)(5) service in the Bronx, consider taking nearby Bx9, Bx15, Bx19, and Bx39 buses.

As an alternative to (2) service in Harlem, take a (3) train.

Metro North is cross-honoring MetroCard holders at Wakefield-241 St, Woodlawn, and Williamsbridge.

The IRT is a shit show today.

In addition to this, there’s no (4) service north of Burnside Av and limited (6) (no <6> service) north of 3 Av-138 St due to disruptive commuters and a track fire near Kingsbridge Road.

What in gods name is happening on the IRT today???

Another disruptive commuter now on the Pelham line screwing over the (6) north of hunts point and a conductor was assaulted at Grand Central, making the (4)(5) local south of 42 St. Possibly the assault caused by an irate commuter furious at the delays that happened in the Bronx because of the switch issue and fire. I wonder WHEN they’re going to arrest these f**king people that dare assault transit workers just because the train was delayed due to an issue NOT within their control. There should also be long prison sentences for those who go into the tracks and screw over commuters. Collectively they’re affecting TENS of IF NOT HUNDREDS of thousands of commuters  when they decide to go into the tracks to either get their phone (which they dropped because they were texting and walking like zombies), dance, fight, or relieve themselves.

Suspicious package at Parsons Archer has cut the J back to Broadway Junction and the E and F to 71st.

Couldn't they have just had the (F) run normal and have the (E) go to 179 with if necessary some trains terminate at Parsons on the (F) as Parsons-Archer on the (E)and (J) is a bit of a distance from Hillside Avenue?
