Emergency teams are responding to a person who was struck by a train at 86 St and a person who was struck by a train at 103 St.

Northbound (4)(6) trains will end at 59 St on the upper level.

Southbound (4) trains will end at 149 St-Grand Concourse.

You may wait longer for an (F) train in both directions.

We're running fewer (F)trains because non-MTA agency is conducting work near Jamaica-179 St that is delaying our crews when they turn trains around at that station.

Is it just me or does it sound like that non-MTA agency shouldn’t be in the station (unless it’s some sort of field work)? Also it seems like (F) trains are running every 15 minutes at the moment due to this.

What a way to start this off!

I'm sure the switches there had not been used in some time before today unless there was an emergency.

Not surprising, I don't think even during emergencies that switch was ever used to relay trains unless I'm proven wrong.

The last time that switch was regularly used was during weekend service disruptions on the (L) in 2016, when the (M) had to run to 57 St/ 6 Av on weekends, and 96 St/2 Av wasn’t open yet

The (A)(B)(C)(D) are a mess due to that issue at Hoyt Schermerhorn. Southbound some (A) trains are terminating at 59’St Columbus Circle, making the northbound (D) come on the local track, delaying the (C), and downtown express trains via Central Park West running slow as snails

Wow, they really turned them around at Columbus Circle? Were they really trying to avoid another 57 St switch issue by not terminating them at Penn Station or turning them around at Chambers St instead? Although, I can see Chambers St being a bit of an issue if trains were all backed up, Penn Station was probably the only other line that could turn trains around if there wasn't an issue.

The (A) and (C) if necessary could have terminated at Chambers on that platform as using a pocket track they could switch that way between the express tracks.

They also could have had the (A) terminate at Jay Street using the (F) track and used the lower level of Bergen on the (F) to turn.

Even in the morning (N) trains were delayed because of vandalism at both ends of the line. It really feels like some dumb conquestor gang coordinated an all out vandalism attack today or something lmao.

There’s one of them with his own YouTube channel that even records himself (no mask or hoodie) as he and his group vandalize trains that are parked in storage spots, such as north of 96 St-2 Av, Parson Blvd on the Express track, Bowery abandoned platform, etc. You get the idea. They break into the cabs, turn the trains on, then kick in the windows and spraypaint graffiti all over. To top it all off, some of these people are minors.

Tomorrows rush hour will be interesting with all these trains sidelined for repairs

What’s the YouTube so we can report it to MTAPD?
