BM5 via Woodhaven Posted December 26, 2021 Share #7453 Posted December 26, 2021 Someone got hit by a train at Broadway Junction: Part Suspended train service is suspended between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy. Emergency teams are responding to someone who was struck by a train near Broadway Junction. Some trains will end at Bedford Av or Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and turn around for 8 Av-bound service. For alternate service consider B14, B15, B20, B60 buses or see buses near you at bt.mta.info. See a station agent for a courtesy pass to continue your trip. Well it makes sense because of the flood protection work going on severing the connection between Bay 50 St and Coney Island. I believe something like this happened a while ago. IIRC, there was also work going on along West End that forced trains to run via the instead of the .
T to Dyre Avenue Posted December 27, 2021 Share #7456 Posted December 27, 2021 I think it's probably better to reroute the via the then the , because there are a number of line stops that are literally blocks from the line. It's more convenient for affected riders to walk those blocks to/from the than the .
