Unauthorized person on the tracks, so no (J) between Broadway Junction and Jamaica Center. I'm surprised the (MTA) didn't say consider taking the Q24 or Q56 as an alternative

Earlier than that, the entire (J) was suspended from Broad St to Jamaica because of the unauthorized person. I wonder why that was necessary instead of just suspending between Broadway Jct and Crescent St

Someone got hit by a train at Broadway Junction:

Part Suspended

(L)train service is suspended between Broadway Junction and Canarsie-Rockaway Pkwy.

Emergency teams are responding to someone who was struck by a train near Broadway Junction.

Some (L) trains will end at Bedford Av or Myrtle-Wyckoff Avs and turn around for 8 Av-bound service.

For alternate service consider B14, B15, B20, B60 buses or see buses near you at bt.mta.info.

See a station agent for a courtesy pass to continue your trip.

Interestingly, this is the first instance I've seen of (F) trains being rerouted via Sea Beach (instead of West End) & 4th Avenue since the (D) stopped running to Coney Island.

Well it makes sense because of the flood protection work going on severing the connection between Bay 50 St and Coney Island. I believe something like this happened a while ago. IIRC, there was also work going on along West End that forced (F) trains to run via the (N) instead of the (D)

I fear we're getting close to another shutdown again...

The (B) train has left the building, and  looks like the Brooklyn(5), the (C), and express service on the Lefferts (A) trains in Manhattan & Brooklyn will be out soon. The Rockaway park <A> trips are suspended, and there is limited service on the (2) so much that even some Brooklyn (2) service is terminating in Lower Manhattan to preserve Manhattan-Bronx service

Soon it’s gonna be like Washington DC, most trains running every 20-30 minutes.

Here's how trains are operating today (12/30) during the midday period. There may be some congestion and.or lateness which creates unusually small or large headways at times:

(4) - Every 10 minutes

(5) - Every 8 minutes

(6) - Every 8 minutes (Bronx-bound), Every 3-4 minutes (Manhattan-bound), with some Bronx-bound trains extended to Pelham Bay Park

<6> - Every 7-8 minutes

(7) - Every 5 minutes

(A) - Every 10 minutes

(B) - Suspended

(C) - Every 10-12 minutes

(D) - Every 10 minutes

(E) - Every 8 minutes

(F) - Every 9-12 minutes

(G) - Every 10 minutes

(J) - Every 10 minutes, all local in Brooklyn

(L) - Every 5 minutes

(M) - Every 12 minutes

(N) - Every 10-12 minutes

(Q) - Every 8 minutes

(R) - Every 10 minutes

(S) Franklin - Every 10 minutes

(S) 42nd Street - Every 5 minutes

(S) Rockaway Park - Every 16 minutes

(W) - Suspended

All southbound 8th Avenue service is running on the 6th Avenue Line. (A) trains though are being sent express to West 4th Street.

Trains Rerouted

(A)(C)(E) trains are delayed/rerouted while emergency teams respond to a person who was struck by a train at 23 St.

Southbound (A)(C) trains are stopping along the (D) line from 59 St-Columbus Circle to 34 St-Herald Sq then via the (F) line to Jay St-MetroTech.

Southbound (E) trains are stopping along the (M) line from 5 Av/53 St to W 4 St-Wash Sq.

A trains are making local stops between Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts and Euclid Av because we are unable to move switches at Hoyt-Schermerhorn Sts. At Nostrand Av, trains will arrive/depart at the lower-level C platforms.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN!?!?

Just suspend the (C) at this point. Have the (E) replace it south of Chambers St.

That still wouldn't solve anything, in fact it would make things worse. (A) trains would still be running local in Brooklyn regardless, and then you'd have to run some trains fully local because there's no (B) . In addition, (E) train crews would be making longer trips and could potentially displaced from their usual locations at the end of their shifts.

I feel like the weekday (B)(W) and (Z) lines may continue on after this week, the suspension. But who knows if it'll resume service by the spring season or after the holidays of 2021-2022..

For now, most routes are still on weekday headways like the (Q), (5) except the (F)
