Thanks for the post sir! Like clockwork, and much appreciated!

So grand Av will put them on the (M) shuttle first? Nice!!!! Now I wonder if they will be kept at Grand for the SBS route when it starts...

Well remember when I said GA was one of the pending Depots? Looks as if they could end up staying there after the fact for the crosstown SBS.

Q44 looks to be going all-XD60; the Quill batch probably goes to the M79 SBS (among others), and the OH batch gets unwrapped.

6030-6108 (79) to OH
(Bus for Bus Replacement)
RIP '02-'03 New Flyers...

6109-6125 (17) to GA (for Bushwick M Train Shuttle)
Interesting choice...

Just enough for all the '02 Orion 7's to go, and maybe some RTS's as well. The Bx6 could use some of them when it goes SBS...

I recognize it may seem like a random question, but does anyone know what the mileage accumulated is like on the fleets that are being retired (Orion VII CNG and D60HF)? Just curious where they are in terms of mileage.

LMAOOO

Is it possible that we'll see some of the OH XD60s on the M86 or are they strictly going to run on the local routes?

I sure hope so. Getting to the M86 is a lot easier than getting to the M101/2/3 from where I am.

I hope so too. The XD60s are better suited for SBS service IMO.

The M86 has had nothing but newer artics. The M101/102/103 riders should see those buses, or at a minimum see as many of the newer low floor buses as possible. Not only that, but I'm sick of riding those filthy old artics with the green signage that's a PITA to read. Hopefully the whole boarding process on those three lines will improve. Along with that, newer buses should mean no more of those worn out cloth seats. An embarassment to pay $2.75 to ride such filthy stinking buses buses in 2017 (and yes those buses stink mainly from a lack of cleaning). They can't retire them soon enough. Tuskegee needs to be better with the upkeep of their buses in general, but I find the M86 buses to be a bit cleaner than buses on the M101/102/103. Edited by Via Garibaldi 8

The M86 has SBS, so they only have those new low floor artics and they're branded esp. for it. The same buses that are on the M86 stay on the M86 until they move depots or unbranded. The old green signage buses have no where else to go because everybody wants the new lower floor stuff and seniors will start complaining, u have to maintain equilibrium. Unfortunately, we can't retire them otherwise it causes a bus shortage. Also, most of the cloth seats are being switched out for the hard, shiny blue ones. Tuskegee itself only has a few routes which are the M101/102/103 M86 +SBS and the M15 Local and sometimes M79. More than half the bus fleet is those green signage ones.

Actually this order will push out those remaining high floor buses since Tuskegee is set to receive 73 buses. Either way they're being retired once the new artics come in. They only have 75 high floor artics, so between the new buses and the buses coming over from Stengel, that should get rid of all of them.

Should allow for shorter dwell times since all buses will have three doors and low floors for the elderly people.

I can look it up for you. You may have to remind me in a DM though...

I noticed some spelling mistakes so I fixed it for you.

Those weren't spelling mistakes at all.... That's Brooklyn, New York City. Dead ass.... Stand up!

When are those orders going to arrive?

Since all delivery schedules have changed with the exception of the LFSA's, we only have the pending schedules.... The XN40 and XD60 pilots are due any day now, and delivery is pending for both to begin before the end of winter. The orders were originally on an acellerated delivery schedule, then due to failed audit inspections the orders were changed to traditional 90 day acceptance orders.

I get that the XN40 is a new model and it should be tested as such, but why do the XD60's need to be piloted? Are they that much different than the Bronx batch from 2013 and the MTA Bus batch from last year?

Yea. Fair point. Man, these new bus orders are gonna come in consecutively, I can foresee a mass retirement of buses in the near future. You have the D60hfs and the Orion 7 CNG's going real soon.

There's always gonna be a mass retirement of buses. Unlike most companies who gets small batches, we order buses by the hundreds.
