local buses in regular blue

limited buses in purple paint (but limited bus routes must be renumbered)

You want a dedicated fleet just for Limiteds? So that a run can't arrive at the terminal as a Limited and then leave as a local (or switch to another route)?

That sounds very inefficient.

That’s a copy. Prolly by the time you clear. Those 3 buses may be on the maintenance bay for work and possible pull out for tomorrow. The Kingsbridge buses don’t seem to be problematic.

Just saw 3 NG buses on the belt heading west with Kingsbridge decal on them.

From what I've gathered.
4060-4062 = Casey Stengel
4063-4064 = Fresh Pond

4065-4066 = Flatbush(both pulled in today into Flatbush from Gun Hill)
4067 = Gun Hill
4068 = Flatbush, pulled into FB today.

4069 = Grand Avenue.

Gun Hill and Kingsbridge are literally two fleet swaps away from going all-Nova. That's been the plan the last 3 or 4 years, are they still aiming for that?

Given that the next hybrid order could be split between New Flyer and Nova, it’s safe to say that this could be the plan. Those Nova units in there split option are to operate in depots in the Bronx and Queens. However, everything I mentioned is subject to change, so this order can possibly not be split between the two.

I’m not sure that 7838-7850 will be Tuskegee Airmen for M31 local service

The next order for Tuskegee Airmen will be the XDE40s. They are not in line for the current XD40 order, and right now, M31 service isn’t even their concern. They are currently waiting for around 40 XD60 buses to come back from MTA bus to displace some LFSAs to Gun Hill, Kingsbridge, and West Farms Depots.

Pretty sure the new XD60s that’s is going to replace the M15 fleet is going to displace a lot of the lfsas to the Bronx.

Part of that is for the (MTA) bus order.

Part of it is for the Q70 SBS (12). The rest tbd.

From what I'm seeing, none of this current batch is for MTA Bus. Of course, that can change, but from what I'm seeing, the only batch that's confirmed for MTA Bus are the XD60s.  People are quickly forgetting that West Farms is supposed to get 30 or so buses.

You know what. I totally forgot about the West Farms thing. So which could ultimately mean (MTA) bus order is a no-go?  and @Cait Sith thanks for the heads up.

It's still a go....but from what I'm seeing, it's not in this current batch being delivered. Obviously, things can change.

Normally, there's usually an FTA tag associated with any MTA Bus orders, and I don't see any for any of the XD40s, which indicates that there won't be any for MTA Bus. But that can change. It's 100% on the XD60 batch of buses.

I passed by JFK yesterday, every Xcelsior that was there was marked for NYC Bus, 7500s and a ton of 7800s alike.

Of course. No stress about that. Everything always changes with the (MTA)

Great report on the JFK situation. So as far as we know right now (correct me please) 75/76xx buses should be going to Quill, and some 78xx batches going to Jamaica and presumably West Farms (once everything is finalized). I believe Fresh Pond and Grand Avenue received their allotments for this order.

None of the 60xx XD60s at JFK and LaGuardia are theirs to begin with. They are on lease until the 6234-6286 batch arrives. Most of those 60xx and 61xx XD60s have been earmarked for Tuskegee Airmen to replace the D60HF buses they had at the time of initial delivery. By having at least 70 XD60s (including the ones they have now), this can bring in 40 additional LFSAs

For the XDE40s, OH being on the list has been confirmed by @East New York back in January and when i posted that list a few weeks ago, I was also told it was correct. However, with all things (MTA), that deployment list can change over time.

Of course it's not theirs, but what exactly makes you think that they'll go back to 100th Street? Have we forgotten that Grand Avenue was supposed to get artics for the B38 and Q58 conversion? Those buses can very well end up there too.

And while that may have been confirmed by ENY at that time, like you said, things can change over time, so until something actually happens....
