TheNewYorkElevated Posted December 7, 2019 Share #353 Posted December 7, 2019 (edited) 137th Street-City College has bases. May look at the rest of the line north of that stop sometime soon to look out for anything OMNY related on the turnstyles. Optheduim Posted December 10, 2019 Share #356 Posted December 10, 2019 Has there been word on how OMNY will be implemented on MetroNorth & LIRR? I am hoping it’s tap-in / tap-out like they do in London.

Kamen Rider Posted December 11, 2019 Share #358 Posted December 11, 2019 watching a press confrince, they said that each month's OMNY expansions will be listed around the 15th of the previous month, so ideally by Monday, we'll know the January 2020 list.

danielhg121 Posted December 12, 2019 Share #362 Posted December 12, 2019 I find it a bit funny that Visa/Chase invested millions into the OMNY system but then they don't do any promotion. MasterCard on the other hand, is running the Fareback Fridays promo. Visa probably cares more about issuing contactless cards first and foremost so consumers can spend their money on things other than transportation. Just my thoughts.

They’re pumping money into our system and you also want a free ride? You’re absolutely right though— the more you tap at the turnstiles, the better chances of you tapping at a Duane Reade, etc.

Maybe their contract says they cannot make promotions. VISA and Mastercard are brand-names and don't issue cards - banks do, and only several large banks offer Contactless cards.

Adding it to my list now Both 86 and 96 were active (accepting payment) on my way home today. I posted it to a Facebook group where I got confirmation it's also on at Woodlawn. I think given it's also on at 68th, it very well may be activated from Grand Central to Woodlawn as of today
RestrictOnTheHanger Posted December 17, 2019 Share #374 Posted December 17, 2019 I saw a reader being troubleshooted at Whitehall a few minutes ago. The brains look like they are located in the skinny side parts of the turnstiles that separate each lane , above gate arm level.
