Around the Horn Posted October 23, 2016 Share #226 Posted October 23, 2016 So this is BS then? It hasn't actually been delivered. See this is why I can't trust anybody here because they have no evidence. According to the railroad.net forum, it was a mockup of 9001 not the actual car. It's still in Japan at the moment.

Oh really, because 99% of the R179 information he posted was completely false, meanwhile the information I got from staff members was completely conflicted and actually correct. The M9 was never "in". A mockup set was completed and is way over FTA limits which are preventing mockups from ever entering service currently. Thanks,
GojiMet86 Posted October 26, 2016 Share #229 Posted October 26, 2016 What about the XN40 info? Or the NYCTA XD60 info? Or the LFSA info? Or the movement of #5175-5199 to LaGuardia? Or just about every contract and delivery news of bus orders that has been going on for years? Exactly what info on the R179 was wrong?

If you think you have more reliable sources, post it, and when it's proven we'll actually believe you. Thanks how it works, it's called merit, the more you have the harder it is to discredit you.
Fan Railer Posted October 29, 2016 Share #231 Posted October 29, 2016 Considering almost no one actually knows what's going on with the R179 order except for a select few people, it's no wonder some of the info passed along isn't going to be 100% accurate.

Around the Horn Posted April 9, 2017 Share #237 Posted April 9, 2017 Cars 9001, 9003 and 9007 have been photographed in Kawasaki's plant in Kobe, Japan by an employee on what appears to be a personal blog (someone on FB found it). These photographs are apparently from April 6th and March 25th. The first eight cars supposedly will be over here in two to four months...

Around the Horn Posted June 17, 2017 Share #240 Posted June 17, 2017 New renderings for the M9's. Rumor has it both MNR and LIRR units will have one shared paint scheme.
Bosco Posted June 17, 2017 Share #241 Posted June 17, 2017 New renderings for the M9's. Rumor has it both MNR and LIRR units will have one shared paint scheme. Cuomo is really obsessed about image, isn't he? I actually like the sides of the cars, but I'm not big on the front end. I like it better than the original color scheme (which IMO was just ugly), but this one looks really tacky, especially with the white stripe.

RR503 Posted June 18, 2017 Share #245 Posted June 18, 2017 (edited) You know, after the third quote of the rendering pic, I think we get what it looks like.. Notwithstanding, this is all to create a backdrop for Cuomo 2020 ads. Ah politics... Edited June 18, 2017 by RR503

Sent from my iPhone using NYC Transit Forums mobile app or came before prince andrew made the mandate Well I think this is a prototype car, and they can definitely change around the paint scheme. I don't mind the stripes on the side of the cars on the rendering. As long as the LIRR still has the yellow front. N4 Via Merrick Rd Posted June 18, 2017 Share #250 Posted June 18, 2017 (edited) I like the yellow better. It'd be nice if there was a blue stripe along the sides like the M8s. Instead of the one in the rendering. Sent from my Nexus 5X using Tapatalk Edited June 18, 2017 by N4 Via Merrick Rd
