Unionport R142 set on the (2)(5) : 7061-7065 also has LED side destination signs. There's 1 full R142 that has entirely LED signs if mated with either 6776-6780 or 7021-7025.

The fact that I rode 7019 is killing me right now. I'm so mad. Why can't I ever catch a 142 with the new lights

R142 set #6776-6780 has been retrofitted with LED side destination signs. Sitting at E 180th Street.

That also includes 7061-7065, the entire set as well. They both ran on the 5 yesterday to Dyre.

TIL: the literal translation of the Japanese title for "The Taking of Pelham 123"

"subway panic: subway Clash 123"

That’s interesting.

Be safe to everyone riding transit from A to B. There was a second dispute that happened on the (4) train but, it was a stabbing that took place at 167 St Station.

Thanks Calvin! Be safe everyone.

At this point the Jerome El is cursed or something lol. First a killing at 170 or 176 st. a few months back, then teens shooting each other at Mt. Eden Ave., then a freaking severed leg being discovered near 167 st. and now this.

It’s probably the neighborhood, too dangerous, the whole 4 route is dangerous to me

There’s no more R160s running on the (C) (again, last assignment was the R32 shuffle as 8593-8652, 9943-9974) reflecting back from the past update. The last one ran did ran in service last Monday (8393-8396/8509-8512) and was swapped out with a ENY R179 (3074-3077/3110-3113) before the first day of February and first day of R211T in passenger service .

For now, the fleet of the (A)(C) are mixed of R46s, R179s (5-car for the A and Shuttle with 4-car for the C) and R211s (the T is only for the C, the standard is for the A).  The (J)(Z) still uses the R179 but not much.

Just seen 8569-8572/8405-8408 on the (C)

I live in the neighborhood, just a block or two away from that 167th Street station, and quite frankly I would say that it's not even the most dangerous line in the vicinity. The Concourse line between 12:00 AM and 5:00 AM is not a fun place to find yourself at with those giant mezzanines and blind spots...

IMO, I am starting to wonder what is the point of the weekend (1) and (6) scheduled to come every 6 minutes on paper when constant GOs forces them to run every 8 minutes in reality.

Don't know if it's a common sight to see: on the R46, when arriving at Canal St on the (N) (Q) platform Brooklyn bound, the doors can slide left to right on some part when it's at the platform waiting for the passengers to exit and enter the train.  Seen on the very first car of the train where the T/O punches to what part they are heading on.

I've seen that years ago when the R46s were still running on the (R). Honestly pretty fun to watch.

That is just the motor trying to hold the door open on a grade and not doing a great job of it. You will notice it is ALWAYS being pulled downhill.

That makes sense, especially given their age.

That happens even with the R160s (when the first car Brooklyn bound is at Canal St or 5 Av-59 St. The grade is too steep

So this is what I caught subway wise on my trip. I will post this on my thread and the Bus RTT.
R46: 5882-85, 5902-05, 6002-6005, 6170-73, (A) line

R62: 1621-25**, (3) line

R62A: 1801-05, 1954, 1957-60, 2111-15, 2131-35, (6) line

R142: 1221-25, 6301-05, 6331-35, 6356-60, 6521-25, 6371-75*, 6381-85*, 6666-70, 6786-90, 6826-30, 6871-75, 6911-15, 7041-45, 7096-7100, 7166-70, (2)(4)(5) lines

R142A: 7691-95, 7796-7800, (4) line

R143: 8237-40, 8293-96, (L) line

R160: 8317-20, 8373-76, 8723-27, 8753-57, 8868-72, 9258-62, 9273-77, 9463-67, 9828-32, 9938-42, (F)(G)(L) lines

R179: 3154-57, 3226-29, (C) line

*I think this was the set with 6666-70. Correct me if I am wrong. Also what set is with 6381-85?

**Saw some 62s on the (3), but don't remember any of the sets. I definitely saw 1621-25, and the set that's with it. (Which set is that if any of y'all know? It will be added)

Caught 46s and a 68A near Stillwell in June, so I can add all these guys with them.

I also saw the platform barriers at Clark St (2)(3), I think they're pretty good seeing them in person.

The only rolling stocks that I missed on my trip were the R44s, R68/As, R188s, and R211A/T/Ss.

Rode R46 6173, R62A 1958, R142s 6385, 6829, 7019, 7098, and R160s 8317, 8669. All the rides were fun and smooth. My fav rolling stock gotta be tied between the 142s and 160s.

Let me know what y'all think
