New Flyer C40LF Discussion

Recommended Posts

I have a theory that they send out the old C40s to the 35 on purpose, considering there's always a disproportionately large number of them on that route (they're all I see anyway)...the 35 can get some customers that I think they'd rather keep off the newer buses.

Quite the contrary. All I see on the 35 is mainly 300s & 400s out there with a sprinkle of Orion 7s here and there. I saw only 1 old one out there.

Yeah? Huh. Dunno, I'm usually there around rush hour so that could explain then using the old ones which might not go out during the day. Soon enough it'll be all new buses anyway...

Nowhere near...the oldest 7500s were built in 2002-2003, and WF's buses are only eight or so years old. Buses will be there for a long time, expect a repower and maybe a recertiying of the tanks come 2016 or so.

SC should be getting their buses pretty soon. They are getting 570-599 and CP is getting 600-643. The order should be complete by mid December.

I pretty sure you mean 1998-1999. About 85% retired.
