I didn't expect them to keep the covid P/R code on the 75xx's.

I also figured that the sticker situation is rather a joke. Another unit that had this gag is 5869. That unit has a WF sticker as well. I don't know how many buses have the wrong stickers on them, but so far with 6193, that makes it 4 buses I counted that had different stickers, then the depot it is assigned to.

I actually saw it on one of the Yonkers Prevosts last week, so I guess maybe the Hanover buses still have it.

This thread is the most logical place to post it so here we go.

Word has it the reason why the MQ and MV swap is occuring is to plan ahead for fleet uniformity in the future. What do I mean by that? The LFS HEV staying at MQ will eventually head to the Bronx (GH/KB) when the 60/375 electric bus order gets delivered. The buses, which includes delivery to GH and KB, will push out the Nova HEV buses to the Bronx, which will allow the diesel LFS to be displaced to CA, CS and QV. This change not only gives Manhattan and the Bronx more green buses but the change makes sure the entire 40 ft fleet in GH and KB become half hybrid/half electric by 2026.

It doesn't explain anything with the XDEs though. And it's also not fleet uniformity when the electrics will more than likely be New Flyers.

Definitely wouldn't buy into any of that, especially since other swaps and moves could happen before the electric buses become a thing.

So, it turns out that only the 9400s were only supposed to be swapped with Manhattanville.....someone goofed up.

So they sent the 9500s and 9600s by mistake? That's uh...impressive. Would kind of check out since the 9400 swap happened while they were being delivered, whereas the 9500s and 9600s had been at Quill for a minute...

By the looks of it, NovaBus will start delivering the 135 (MTA)bus LFSes in December of this year, and expected to be completed by the second quarter of 2023. However, because Nova is delivering the remaining LFS HEVs for Manhattanville and Tuskegee Airmen, and started delivery on the LFS diesels, we will have to wait and see for the (MTA)bus order.

There are no more Next Gens running in passenger service at Gun Hill Depot. The depot's buses are entirely NovaBus.

Looks like GH is the first to have straight Novas on their roster.
UP & JG still has all New Flyers on their local bus roster, only UP has all Xcelsiors

Eyes on 6854 and 6887. Seems to be the final remaining two Old Gens in service at NYCT (QV). No other units have tracked in service this entire past week.

Also, randomly decided to track 4444 and it's still at KB? Thought all of the NGs already left KB before GH.

The 6 Next Gens are still at Kingsbridge Depot for now. They can either swap the ones MHV has or wait till the new units come on.

The 245 Artics are for MTA Bus? I initially thought that they were for NYCT.

It is for NYCT. The quotes for MTA Bus were for the 289 clean diesel buses above and for the 250 express buses above that. There probably wasn’t enough space for that quotation on the same line, so it went to the next line, making you believe it was for the line underneath the quotation (which was the 245 artics).

Ah ok. Thanks for clarifying

KB has them for training purposes as well as service
