Service Change   Posted: 04/26/2019  4:21PM

There are service changes and delays in (D) (N) and (R) train service while we repair a switch near 36 St (BKLYN).

There is reduced northbound (N) train service from Coney Island-Stillwell Av to 36 St. Some northbound (D) trains are running on the (N) line between those two stations.

Some northbound (N)  trains are running on the local track from 36 St to DeKalb Av.

Expect delays in (D)(N) and (R) train service.

---

There were southbound (D) trains going via Culver but that appears to have stopped

Delays  Posted: 04/27/2019  1:20PM

You may experience longer-than-expected wait times up to 20 minutes for (G) trains in both directions because of an earlier incident where we removed a train with door problems from service.

Trains are also delayed by planned work in Brooklyn.

Metropolitan-bound (M) trains are proceeding after EMS assisted a passenger at Essex St.

There is no (6) train service in both directions between 3 Av-138 St and Parkchester because someone was struck by a train at Whitlock Av.

For continuing service, consider taking Bx6, Bx12, Bx19, Bx36Bx40 and Q44+ crosstown bus service to nearby (2)(4) and (D) lines.

Service Change

(Q) trains have service changes and delays because a train's brakes were activated at 72 St.

There is no (Q) service in either direction between 57 St/7 Av and 96 St.

For service to stations between 57 St/7 Av and 96 St, consider using M31 bus service; See a station agent to receive a courtesy pass for continuing service.

Expect delays in both directions on the (Q) line south of 57 St/7 Av.

Even though it doesn't say, I'm pretty sure that (M) trains aren't running to 96th Street either.

Weekend (M) to Forest Hills. Why not turn at Queens Plaza on D5?

UPDATE:

Service Change  Posted: 04/28/2019  6:30PM

(M) and (Q) trains have service changes and delays while we investigate reports of an unauthorized person on the tracks at 72 St.

There are no (M) or (Q) trains in either direction between 57 St/7 Av and 96 St.

Some 96 St-bound (M) trains are being rerouted to Forest Hills-71 Av or will turn for Metropolitan Av-bound service at Essex St.

For service to stations between 57 St/7 Av and 96 St, consider using an M31 bus; See a station agent to receive a courtesy pass for transfers.

Expect delays in both directions on the (M) and (Q) lines south of 57 St/7 Av.

--------------------------------------------------------

Second day in a row that the (M) was affected by something preventing full service to run to/from Midtown. Also, they should have considered running trains up to/from 145 Street via CPW Express in order to maintain service to Midtown.

Looks like it's fixed

Delays

(M) and (Q) trains have resumed regular service in Manhattan in both directions after we safely removed an unauthorized person on the tracks at 72 St.

Having the (M) run to 145 if 96th/2nd is unavailable would make sense and the (MTA) should have a contingency plan for that OR have the (M) go to 168 with the (C) and terminate there in that scenario.

First time I have ever seen my old bus route (M31) ever said for alternative service.  Used to use that in the days before it was extended to the west side (used to terminate at 59th/Lex).

Service Change

There is no (D) train service north of Tremont Av in either direction while we work to correct a switch problem at that station.

If you're traveling north, consider transferring to the (4) train at 161 St-Yankee Stadium. See a station agent to receive a courtesy pass for continuing train or bus service.

Expect delays on (A) , (B) , (C) and (D) trains.

Station-Specific Alternatives:

Norwood-205 St: Take the Bx28 bus to Moshulu Pkwy (4) .

Bedford Pk Blvd: Take the Bx26 bus to Bedford Pk Blvd-Lehman College (4).

Fordham Rd: Take the Bx12-SBS or local to Fordham Rd (4).

Find your nearest bus stop and real-time arrival information at mta.info for bus time or use the MyMTA App.

There are extensive delays and service changes in (E) and (F) train service because a person was struck by a train at Elmhurst Av.

There is no southbound (E) and (F) train service past Forest Hills-71 Av into Manhattan.

There is reduced northbound (E) and (F) train service.

As an alternative, customers can take the Q32 and Q60 buses.
