Priincenene Posted September 22, 2015 Share #3551 Posted September 22, 2015 Now what I don't get, if the R143 or R32 go on the , is it going to be a shuttle like back in 07 or is it running ALL the way via 6 Av, and Queens Blvd?

Javier Posted September 23, 2015 Share #3553 Posted September 23, 2015 I just thought that they would have taken the R143 THATS currently assigned on the , give it to the but split it into four cars for OPTO service.
NewFlyer 230 Posted September 23, 2015 Share #3554 Posted September 23, 2015 Maybe we should wait and see what happens. The MTA probably knows what they are going to do. I don't see R143's touching the and the R32 is a possibility and I'm sure they would have ran on the a while ago but the MTA decided to keep that line all R160.
JFK Depot Posted September 23, 2015 Share #3555 Posted September 23, 2015 The early demise of cars (R40/40M R38 R44) really messed up things and now with the R32's not holding up as well as they thought Transit has put themselves into real problem moving forward at least in the B division... It was a good idea to swap the R32s for R160s but they should've done that years ago and made it permanent instead of summer help The C being NTT speeds up the trip but then it also causes bunching... There's not too much that can be done to fix the issue really... The only thing I can think of is really using the R32's on the M. It can run the special roll sign and have it signed up for Metropolitan Av to 71st Forest Hills Try to keep as many 32s ON Queens Blvd as possible C can stay ALL NTT... J continues to be mixed (143,160,42) I also feel they should run R68's on the A but that's my own opinion Off topic tho I heard there will be a swap of 160s between Coney Island and Jamaica I'm hearing (9200-9800) for what's in CI (8700-9100) How true is that ?

Honestly I would give Coney Island some of those R32's due to it being the major yard for overhauls and other work but I do understand why they are at East New York. I would try to keep the R32s off the Queens Blvd Line but if it has to be done then it will be done.

As for the they should of been got some of the R160s after the media reported the R32 cars being rickety and time machine like on the and as far as the Coney Island-Jamaica R160 swap, its Bullshit. Theres no need to swap any NTT from those two yards yet until Queens Boulevard goes CBTC Edited September 29, 2015 by VIP

Didn't people say the G.O was to start early next year? What's the point of putting 32s on the several months in advance? If the was to get 32s, odds are 32s would be put on the line a couple of weeks before the G.O starts...

I enjoy the shiny bright R160's on the . They just need to be freshened but because some of the smell like piss and lots of sweat. It's just a nasty combination.
