Another 2 for 2 swap between Coney Island and Jamaica today during the midday hours:

5794-5797 and 5614-5617 was on the (R) to 59 St this morning and its now on the (N) line.

5522-5525 and 5666-5669 was on the (F) to Kings Highway this morning and its now on the (N) line.

8718-8727 ran on the (Q) this morning and its now on the (R) put in out of 36 St this afternoon.

8783-8787 and 8808-8812 was on the (N) this morning and its now on the (F) put in out of Kings Highway this afternoon.

That’s actually a pretty good way to swap the cars between the yards, by having R46 trains run service on the (F) or (R) in the morning and then having them be put in service in the afternoon on the (N) or (Q). I’m sure there’ll be plenty more of that.

Have we yet found that fugitive R-32 train on the (C)?

I just rode on 3819 earlier!! I had no idea this was a retired set, it ran so smooth! Still has builders plates too.

All those units were still together in that consist order.

I can confirm the same consist was running on the (C) today, Friday, February 7. (North-3673, 3819-South). I’m going to attach some pictures I took.

With the builder plate:
C9-A05-DA6-C431-4-C42-ACDD-AC77-E6626-C8

Leaving the station:
42-CB3-A97-AD41-4-DB0-AB6-B-718635-D8237

I gotta say for an R32, this set ran so SMOOTHLY! No screeching, just a bit of bucking. This set ran pretty good.

Also on a side note, they seemed to have put some yellow tape under the car number plate, as you can see from the photo. I saw it on 3818 as well, that’s gotta mean something.

That tape has been there for many years. If someone else knows why I'd love an explanation though.

Customers are noticing the change in equipment. It’s pretty impressive I must say...

When I got on a PM rush R46 (Q) for the first time (5774-5777 and 5486-5489), the looks on people’s faces said it all... Almost every single person hesitated to enter, with several asking if this is actually a (Q) train... One even asked why such an old train is even running here.

Another "Retired" R-32 pair (3834/35) was wandering on the (C) during Friday.

The other is saying in there too.

Hmmm.;)

Looks like another trade today was 5742 & 5782 for 5-pack 8748.

8758 & 8793 apparently swapped under SMS at the Shop.  No exchanged equipment.

Sounds like only Siemens R160Bs are left Unless there are some R160B Alstom propulsion trains still hiding

Unless I’m mistaken and 8833-8837 is still straggling with 8768-8772 and 8778-8782 and 8743-8747. These sets are likely on the (Q) or as spares for the (Q) because the four R160s that i saw on the (N)(W) today were all Siemens propulsion (plus any others that may be rolling around)
