Coming back from LI early this afternoon, I did see 4104/05 running back to back on the LIE around 108 St. So I can confirm a move.  I had a feeling they were going to GH.

IDK why NYCT keeps screwing around with FP and Grand.  Can we please get some decent equipment?  They send "rent-a-bus" to Flatbush, and before they're all back they send more elsewhere.  I know the numbers are computerized, but still, it's so stupid to break up a numerical bunch.  FP has 4112/13/14 with 11 at Yukon.  They should have sent 2 of them instead.  They had consecutive #'s of 4100 to 4110, with 07 and 09 on loan to Flatbush and they break up consecutive numbers by sending 04/05 uptown.

Finally so stupid to send 4170 to GH yesterday, the only 4100 up there till today.  They should have sent that back to Stengel and GH could have sent another Orion V to Stengel.

End of rant!

9697 on the B62 tonight with GA decals, if not reported prior. Also, I caught 7134 on the B25 tonight.

The thing is FP and GA do well with their older fleet. I will say that I wouldn't be surprised if they are the last depots in Brooklyn to receive all of their newer equipment (XD40s), which would be just fine with me.

Indeed FP, and especially Grand, do well with the old fleet. A place like Ulmer Park, a place that didn't do well with old buses, gets rewarded with a much newer fleet.  But to the average passenger, the non bus fan, they have put up with old equipment while other depots have much newer stuff.  A new depot with all that old equipment is a slap in the face even to the people who work there. That's what they get for doing well with and older fleet, they keep them!  Couple this with LGA, this area of Queens has THE oldest equipment in the city.  Yes, I know this will change somewhat in the coming months with the 2 NYCT depots getting more new XD40's (unless NYCT changes their minds and I don't trust them).  I also expect, not only to LGA, but to either Grand or FP or both, the introduction of 1999 RTS............more worn out hand-me-downs.

Ulmer Park did not get new buses for the longest due to a dispute between the union shop stewards in the depot and management.  The union wanted longer training pay than the other depots were getting and senior NYCT management said no.  Hence no new buses.

IDK what has happened since, but maybe the shop stewards have softened up a bit with new ones in there and the old guard retired.
