Especially since 63rd Street and 53rd Street would still have roughly the same amount of trains per hour (even though the is more frequent than the )? The service change made no sense at all. The needs to be a bit more clear and specific whenever they announce unplanned service changes on their website. Probably a switch issue or something else near 36th too. Maybe a switch there to turn trains onto the 63 Street line wasn't working. For trains, it's a straight shot to go onto the 63 Street Line. EDIT: Now there are some trains running over the , according to Subway Time. Nothing on the MTA page though. Would be difficult unless you expand on the bellmouths there to include a diamond crossover and layups. Even so probably would be a waste of money just for that.

IRT Bronx Express Posted April 26, 2018 Share #5093 Posted April 26, 2018 (edited) Can anyone explain the reason why I saw the via 4th Ave Express this afternoon? It's just less confusing to label it as trains. Edited April 26, 2018 by BM5 via Woodhaven
Abba Posted April 27, 2018 Share #5095 Posted April 27, 2018 Does anyone feel that a “train with mechanical problems”should really be more specified like “train crews are walking through the train determining the cause.
RR503 Posted April 27, 2018 Share #5096 Posted April 27, 2018 Yesterday, a R32 A set got tripped coming into Grant by that 1 shot. It was an A to Far Rock, so was full of airport passengers. They were walking people up through the train as part of it was still in the tunnel, and god, you should have seen the faces of the tourists heading to the airport. It looked like they had been betrayed on some existential level. It then got moving again, and somehow was signed up as a 3 train. That aside, it was good to see they were getting people out of the cars in the back. You don't want to be stuck in a tunnel for 30 mins.
