Just saw on ABC/Ch.7 Most of Lower Manhattan is now in the dark. Man this is becoming like a end of the world movies, :o

Man I've been watching this for the entire day and I am in absolute disbelief at what is taking place.

Wow, I know someone over in Stuyvestant Town, and someone over in LES, I really hope they're ok right now.

I never ever seen rampant destruction like this before in New York City. And I'm a native New Yorker from birth. I'm barely remembering Hurricane Gloria - that was a walk in a park compared to this monster of a storm. Wow look at the damage depicted in those posted pics!

Transformer blew out - possibly at the East River power station.

As for Brooklyn, in the Kingsbay area and Coney Island, everywhere south of about Avenue X is under water.
