Javier Posted March 30, 2016 Share #6301 Posted March 30, 2016 I can confirm Corona is adding in the Q44 announcements to the R188's, they're modifying the program. Now why is Briarwood - Van Wyck being renamed Briarwood?

MHV9218 Posted March 30, 2016 Share #6304 Posted March 30, 2016 (edited) 1911-1915 and 1916-1920 are all on the . I'm not sure whether they're linked as five cars, but they are ordered consecutively. I can confirm 1916 was converted to a full cab, and I assume 1911/1915 and 1920 were as well. 1918 is an interesting car with original stickers, an R62 side box, and no LEDs--will be interesting to see on the Pelham line. 2241-2245 are also on the . There's 4-5 sets left of R62As on the and from what I'm hearing (Don't quote me on this), they're waiting for the last converters to go in service so they can move those remaining R62As off the all at once. I will say gave it next week (2 weeks tops) since someone has said on here that the last cars has been at Kawasaki for awhile. I'm curious why the is still taking on 240th cars at this point, but there will definitely be quite a shakeup once all the R62As are gone from the .

VIP Posted April 5, 2016 Share #6315 Posted April 5, 2016 Didn't I say awhile back that R62A's from 240th that are on the are Westchester's permanent cars? ????
jon2305 Posted April 5, 2016 Share #6316 Posted April 5, 2016 Just because those R62As from the are there doesn't mean they're permanant to the , their just loaned to make up for service on the . Same thing with Livonia's R62s on the . They haven't even been equipped with those LED lights in the sign box. The has been running short on cars it seems and with the line's service demand during the PM rush it needs any cars they can get to cover for rush hours.

Tech And Transit Posted April 7, 2016 Share #6318 Posted April 7, 2016 Yes, 7931 is in service. 7536 is with 7315 so I'm not sure where 7531-7535 is. Recently, they've been mismatching pairs when they enter service. 7525 and 7526 were also mismatched before and when they entered service as well.

jon2305 Posted April 21, 2016 Share #6321 Posted April 21, 2016 I plan on doing one or several last RFW video ever on a R62A hopefully sometime in May, if there's any still available. This will be my farewell to an era of RFW on the Flushing line.

MHV9218 Posted April 21, 2016 Share #6325 Posted April 21, 2016 One of the 7600's has strip maps like that too... Don't think that car has the full original though. One of them actually has the 1999 service pattern with the "Downtown only" had Broadway-Lafayette covered up, funnily enough. Just checked my records though: 7550 was actually the car with the fully original strip map. Can't remember which set had the old strips all together now.
