(N)(Q)(W) will miss the using R160 and get R46 as the replacements and will experience more dwells at stations, delays and slower runtime. Coney Island Yard will make the exterior look super clean when they go through the wash.

(E)(F)(R) are taking R160 and saying get these R46 away from us we are tired of using them right (F) and (R), (E) briefly use them before.

Meanwhile (A) are glad to still use R46 and some R179.

Just like (4) and (7) took R142A from (6) and got R62A. Queens Yard are taking the New Tech Cars.

The swap is all about getting the Queens Blvd. lines CBTC ready.  Any R46 issue is a temporary one because in a few years those cars will begin their retirement.  It's not a question of the F and R being tired of them!

when is R160 Alstom To Send Back To Coney Island Yard Before R211 (F)(R) Trains in 2025?

We don't know if they might bring it back to the coney island yard somehow when the R211 comes it will be tested on one line which we don't know. Later on it's gonna transfer to all the yards in the new york city transit and mostly the (E)(F)(M) and (R) trains will be all R160s and some R211s will be running on the Queens Blvd Line and mostly It could be a chance that the r160s and some siemens might go back to the CIY but it's a prediction and it could be true or wrong we'll see in 2025.

I would love to know why everyone thinks they're going back...

Lmao, It could be a possibility that they could come back in the CIY buts it's a Extremely low chance when the R211 runs on the Queens Blvd line so it's a Extremely low chance

They are permanently staying at Jamaica Yard until somewhat happens to swap sets in the future  rn it’s not it

R160B siemens could be staying in the Jamaica yard Permanently because its agreed to be all R160s in the Queens Blvd Line,

But.... Not all R160B siemens will be in the jamaica yard they will still be left in the CIY

R211s are expected to arrive in 2021 NOT 2025, R211s are all CBTC Equipped so I would Say that there is 50/50 Chance that R160s might be swapped back to it's home yard in Coney Island when R211s are in service in Next Year.

An Extremely rare chance that they could do CBTC again, There's a chance that some R160s wouldn't move to the CIY again or It will, We're gonna see,

Also Thanks for telling me it's gonna be testing in the next year I can't wait to see it in action.

R211s are expected to arrive for testing in Q3-Q4 2020, but it will be in Service in 2021, I Agree we will see. Me Personally is 50/50 Chance.

Folks, I'm going to need some of you guys to put all of your posts into ONE POST, stop posting multiple times. This isn't Facebook Messenger.

Also, utilize the multi-quote feature, please....

-edit-

Also, stop spacing them out in such a large format...

Don't know why there's all this talk of the 160's going back to CIY when the 211's arrive. This must be assuming the 211's are going to JYD. But it was already said they were going to the (N)(W) and (G). The 211T test units might show up on the (E), but not enough of the fleet to push 160's back. If they decide to order a fleet of 211T's and place them on the (E), then you might see some 160's go back. But that's not decided now.
