Grand Concourse Posted December 27, 2015 Share #5984 Posted December 27, 2015 1697 1698 1699 & 1700 have their LEDs interior/exteriorhem, seems strange just one car is missing them. Isn't supposed to be 1696-1700? Or is 1696 a single?it is a 5-car set, i was wondering if it was just the first car or the whole set that was missing the led displays. And it seems it was just the one car. By now the only singles left are the 1900s with 1960 and below.
MHV9218 Posted December 28, 2015 Share #5985 Posted December 28, 2015 The full cab conversion of 2086 is appalling. The side panel is some sort of white fiberglass rather than metal. The conversion never should have occurred in the first place, but not a single Westchester set is keeping a half cab.

jon2305 Posted December 29, 2015 Share #5992 Posted December 29, 2015 If that's the case, then we are down to the last four (10-car R142A units) scheduled for conversion work, 7551 through 7590.
MHV9218 Posted December 29, 2015 Share #5993 Posted December 29, 2015 Got a pic of that? I didn't, but I saw it again tonight. Lousy cell photo: If that's the case, then we are down to the last four (10-car R142A units) scheduled for conversion work, 7551 through 7590. Tech And Transit Posted December 29, 2015 Share #5995 Posted December 29, 2015 I didn't, but I saw it again tonight. Lousy cell photo: Rode 7551-7555 a day ago, so that hasn't left yet. I was on 2086 and I saw that too, it looks weird and I got a pic. Unfortunately, I'm not so great at uploading pics to the forums, but I got a pic pretty similar so it wouldn't have been much different. I don't know why they would do that. On the other hand, I know someone here reported 7500 was delivered to Corona and seeing 7500 on the testing, but I haven't even seen it in the yard. Maybe it was in the back or in the maintenance shops but it's weird that that set hasn't been out at all. Usually, they have the testing set sitting on the main yard tracks, as I saw with 7480 and 7490. Hopefully nothing is wrong with it.

R32 3838 Posted December 29, 2015 Share #5997 Posted December 29, 2015 The painted thresholds does not mean yard assignment, they paint the thresholds to see where the thresholds hit the edge of the platforms, the 75 footers and R32/38's have had painted thresholds for years
