So they ended up turning it into a loop not too long after they got rid of it? Interesting....

Went back into an earlier date (2000) on that site, and this is the version of the route I remember: https://web.archive.org/web/20000829095419/http://www.njtransit.state.nj.us/docs/Pdffiles/T0980.pdf

Yup, this is exactly what I wanted, thanks! Can you find the old #75 (Butler - Newark route)?

...which is a current short turn terminal of the route.

The #94 doesn't run on Galloping Hill rd. (and hasn't, for as long as I can remember)... It continues along Chestnut to Westfield like the #113S (Salem rd. branch) does...

- I don't recall of an #884... All those old Wheels routes I remember being in the 900's...

- The #980 I vaguely remember... It was a route that started at the New Brunswick RR, then crossed the river due north via rt. 18 (unlike the #810 & #814, which do so via rt. 27)... It then ran along River rd., to Centennial... Ran along Centennial a bit, to then make a bunch of diversions/turns to serve specific plants & offices, to then end at one of those corporate bldg's in the general area... To sum it up, it was a peak only route that connected industrial Piscataway to the New Brunswick RR station....

I keep getting into the habit of using the Doug & Adrienne maps, which aren't always the most current, but yes you're right the current #94 runs down Chestnut with the #113S

And good looking with the #884 and #980 info.

This is the earliest one saved on the website from 2000

This one being the latest I could find from April 2012 when it also served William Paterson University

Some of these Bloomfield Avenue light rail short-turns don't make any sense (for the #11/28/29). One apparently comes off the #73, one comes off the #79, and one terminates at the light rail and then continues to Newark Penn to start a #28.

New Jersey Transit in general does not make sense 😒

Huge shout out for Wayne on helping with trips on routes 171, 175 and145 on the regular that I've either seen or rode on. Perhaps some of their buses are housed in Market Street garage because Market Street has a equipment shortage. I even saw 45's make rare appearances on the 74 and this month on the 712 route. I'm waiting for the day that a XD60 shows up on a Market Street route haha

You’ll see more of those when when the Market Street invasion hits Wayne Garage

Do they even really need them?

Yes because the main 190 bypasses Union City heading into Manhattan.

I don’t know I’ve only done the 190 twice and that was the short turns.

So then you would know about ridership on them...or did you do a different short-turn?
