Is it just on weekends or will those R62A's stay at the yard during the week?

R179 8258 Posted January 26, 2015 Share #4932 Posted January 26, 2015 Rose the R62a honestly it don't feel the same like back in the late 1990s and earlier 2000s when the R62 would speed thru 103-116 streets and the train would dance( when the run goes fast and the train car would move out of control) love that feeling lol
Woodside7878 Posted January 27, 2015 Share #4933 Posted January 27, 2015 (edited) Rose the R62a honestly it don't feel the same like back in the late 1990s and earlier 2000s when the R62 would speed thru 103-116 streets and the train would dance( when the run goes fast and the train car would move out of control) love that feeling lol Must be the suspensions springs and shock absorbers that reduce buckling of the cars for a smoother ride, the suspensions during that time was wearing out similar to a car's suspensions and shock absorbers when the car is rebounding more often than normal. Woodside7878 Posted January 27, 2015 Share #4934 Posted January 27, 2015 I forgot that the tracks was replaced during fastrack, the MTA track workers must of solve the tracks swaying since the cars were rebounding a lot at high speeds

Tech And Transit Posted January 30, 2015 Share #4936 Posted January 30, 2015 I saw that set today at Times Square. Weird how it's arranged: 7336-7340, 7331-7335. They always put the C cars in the middle for testing.

MHV9218 Posted February 2, 2015 Share #4941 Posted February 2, 2015 I thought I was seeing things cause 1996 was still a half cab in November. 2011, 2021, 2031, 2066, and maybe a couple others remain half cabs. Obviously the singles as well, but the set of singles was kept in today.
