The numbers on the back of 6340 are way out of proportion...

 

I was told earlier that 9836 was spotted at Williamsbridge Road and Astor Avenue going North... It seems to me they're running the bus until it's out of fuel, and sending it to ECH.

Depending on the time, it was for training or as a shuttle, I saw 9836 in The Bronx over the course of 3 days DHing to College Point.

If it was being retired the bus would get defueled at Zerega, not driven around until empty, then taken to Eastchester.

Who else has been editing the MetroWiki page? I would like to know - so I can ask where they got the info of 93 1998-99 NovaBUS "RTS" Model T80-206's in Flatbush.

Lucky I have the older edit I did from yesterday. 5302 will be added to Tuskegee. 9836 will be deleted from the roster.

To add to this, the main reason these went to UP was to replace 9390-9399. Jamaica Only sent QV 35 Next Gens while QV sent them 45 LFSs, and so UP sent 9390-9399 and then Jamaica Sent out these. 

 

 

Incase no one pointed it out (since I don't stalk this page), 9311, 9112, 9236, 9231 and 9203 are all at JFK, along with 5205, 5207 and 5209. 

4453-4472,4474-4482(29) 9390-9399(10) but gave out 8045-8089(45) even exchange

9836 was a shuttle in Bx or doing training around there just like Cait Sith said. 9836 is still in service and if it doesn't get into any accidents its due to retire in January.

That 9836 has been having problems for the longest...That bus just needs to go already. I rode it on the Q53 this summer. Bus sounded horrible.
