CTK246 Posted August 24, 2017 Share #16501 Posted August 24, 2017 It needs to be a subway! Not an AirTrain that takes riders to nowhere!I mean, the AirTrain is great for me connecting to the to get home...
Far Rock Depot Posted August 26, 2017 Share #16502 Posted August 26, 2017 RBB would seriously help those of us in the Rockaways who commute to Northern queens and midtown Manhattan. Sent from my LGLS755 using Tapatalk
MassTransitHonchkrow Posted August 26, 2017 Share #16503 Posted August 26, 2017 Nice catch. Surprised the sign would say Ozone Park. If I remember correctly, all cars with interactive maps or FIND have a copy of every line at their disposal. The combinations and possibilities are endless. But this is quite the gem. This vindicates a certain someone's signature...

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted August 30, 2017 Share #16508 Posted August 30, 2017 (edited) I saw a video with a guy bringing a friggin MATTRESS onto a train at what looks like the 125th street station. Unbelievable. It wasn't even covered! Disgusting! Edited August 30, 2017 by Via Garibaldi 8

Via Garibaldi 8 Posted August 30, 2017 Share #16510 Posted August 30, 2017 I'm guessing it wasn't new? No idea. Didn't look that old though. I've never seen anyone with a mattress on a subway though, and I've seen some bizarre things to say the least. Once some guy got on a train with a friggin' parrot, as if he wasn't enough of a nut job.
LegoBrickBreaker101 Posted August 30, 2017 Share #16511 Posted August 30, 2017 Have we ever debunked whether or not these cars really have those goofed up strip maps? Those cars don't. I passed through all the cars on the 7621-7625 consist a few days ago (I was trying to get to the front of the train) and the strip maps were all normal.
N6 Limited Posted August 30, 2017 Share #16512 Posted August 30, 2017 The BMT planned for the Broadway line to continue north through Central Park, where was it supposed to go? Around the Horn Posted August 30, 2017 Share #16513 Posted August 30, 2017 The BMT planned for the Broadway line to continue north through Central Park, where was it supposed to go? Adam Clayton Powell Blvd(7th Ave)? Would there be no stops between 57th Street and 110th Street? It was going to go west on Central Park South to Columbus Circle then up 8th Avenue like the current train.
Lance Posted August 30, 2017 Share #16514 Posted August 30, 2017 When the 8th Avenue line was originally proposed as a BMT route, the line was to run from Washington Heights (around 193rd Street) to the Penn Station area near 30th Street. The line was intended to be four-tracks from 173rd Street to 64th Street. Two tracks would've continued down Central Park West and 8th Avenue to 30th Street while the other two were to branch off and connect to the then-new Broadway subway. In a later plan, the stub tracks at 57 Street were to be used for a new line directly under Central Park and along Morningside Ave, running to 145th Street. As the IND didn't want to siphon riders from their own 8th Avenue line, this idea was quickly abandoned.

Calvin Posted September 1, 2017 Share #16517 Posted September 1, 2017 (edited) I know that northbound trains to 96 St are signed up as trains via Sea Beach to avoid confusion. The question is that: Do trains have the 96 St program? Edited September 1, 2017 by CH3348
Fresh Pond Posted September 1, 2017 Share #16518 Posted September 1, 2017 When did the stop using R62As? Around the time the 142s came in I know that northbound trains to 96 St are signed up as trains via Sea Beach to avoid confusion. The question is that: Do trains have the 96 St program? Yes
Calvin Posted September 2, 2017 Share #16519 Posted September 2, 2017 Two things:The Shuttle has the brown logo on the train but orange displayed outside with the caution sign Also, the still has the Express spelled out on their trains during weekends. It seems that most of the trains on weekdays still has the EXP but with the LOC
46Dover Posted September 2, 2017 Share #16520 Posted September 2, 2017 This I agree with. The aren't fast enough and don't go express until 36 St and 59 St, respectively. One time when I was going home from Coney Island we bailed the at Brighton Beach just to get to the express so sending it to Coney would be so good. In a way, it's kinda like taking the local at New Lots to get the express at Utica, only shorter Around the time the 142s came in Yes I think there was no need for the to lose the 62As. Should've left things alone

The chiming noise on the train cars is way too loud. Edited September 2, 2017 by Via Garibaldi 8
